steps again....day 9
Its all about the focus. Focus on the positive...on God....on the good. You become what you surround yourself with. There are still things in my life that I let take my focus at times. I soooo need to get rid of those things. I want to remove my old habits and change my need for them into need for HIM!! I am posting lots of scriptures in my work space and on the mirror at home. I listen to Christian music mostly.
I had a void in my life and I filled it with so many bad things...things that took me far from God. Now I am getting rid of the bad things and I feel that void again. I HAVE to fill it with God stuff.
My prayer is to get rid of the bad in my life and let God take control. I need to be His!

Hello SB
You are His, no doubt about that sis! Posting Truth around you excellent idea and it helped me alot in the beginning.
He will get rid of those things sb, you just focus on Him. Acknowledge what needs to change, confess it to Him and another, then turn. Those things will go by the grace of God. What He is interested in is YOU, not the "those things". He wants your Love and wants to give u His. It's a REAL-ationship (as brother o says)
The wanting for those things will go away just by seeking Him and the more you spend in His presence the more you wont want anything that doesnt come from Him.
When you feel empty, then a fillup is over due. Always try to keep the tank above the half way mark, by spending much time with Him. Sometimes hard to do when much is required at seemingly the same timespan. But refuel regularily to keep your "vehicle" running in tip top shape. In other words dont let your fuel run out, because then u will have to walk instead of ride to the gas station and "baby it's cold outside "
God bless sis
You are a beautiful soul and i am proud to call you my sister in Christ

Thank you sb for doing the steps and posting your thoughts. It is encouraging and uplifting to me to consider things in my own walk that need some adjusting.
Love ya sister

Sorrow looks back, Worry looks around, But faith looks up! Live simply, love generously, care deeply, speak kindly and trust in our Creator who loves us.
