Stepping up :-D
I have not posted to this forum in a couple of days and even though I know the stepping stones require a commitment to doing one each day for 14 days, I found that I needed a couple days to work on stepping stones 4 and 5 dealing with forgiveness. I am certainly glad I did because I learned so much about God's forgiveness of us and our forgiveness of others and most importantly the forgiving of ourselves. God taught me so much about ME over the last couple of days and the reasons for some of my issues are directly linked to THINKING I had truly forgiven others when indeed I found I really had not. This extra couple of day with the Lord and searching my own heart has been such a beautiful experience and put a few things to rest forever. I give God ALL THE GLORY for it:-D He is so opening my eyes to the situations I cause in my life and now I am ready to move on:-D Thanks for understanding my not feeling comfortable with moving one to Stepping Stone 6 until I had really searched and prayed to God for help, insight, and understanding.

Stepping Stone 6
I did the 6th stepping stone and this is so great. I love the Miracle Grow Project:-D I know it will be a wonderful experience even though I know there will be difficult times and I won't meet every daily goal at the beginning, but in time it will be better:-D I am finding out one day at a time is the only way to take things and be successful in them. I feel closer to God since beginning the stepping stone. I know it is because I earnestly prayed before I began them and I continue to pray for God's help and guidance through it all several times every day:-D
This particular stepping stone has helped me focus more on God and His plans for my life and less on the worldly things the hinder my walk. It will allow me the ability to put things in perspective while God is in the driver's seat of my life. Before I began this path, I found I dwelt on MY problems about 95% of the day, while only giving God 5% of my thoughts. In all actuality, it should have been the other way around, GOD FIRST and everything else will be worked out according to HIS plan. No wonder I have been so depressed. I thank God for showing me the error of my ways and bringing me back onto the right track with Him:-D
I am looking forward with anticipation to being able to spend my days forcusing on God instead of focusing on my problems and wallering in self pity. Each day I move forward God opens my eyes to knew oppotunities and less selfishness. It is TRULY a Blessing:-D
Thank You all for the support, the openness, and the kindness you've shown me:-D It has sure helped knowing I am not alone in this life:-D First and foremost, I have God and He has Blessed me with you all:-D

Hello doves,
I wanted to tell you I think it is great that you see you needed more time to deal with the "weeds" in certain stepping stones and acting on it, This is something I felt but unlike you I stuck to the guidelines and didn't spend that extra time pulling those "weeds" that were hiding behind the flowers so to speak, But I'm getting ready to commit myself to the steps again and this time I think I will do them as you did and spend the time on each one until I feel I have "pulled" all those weeds before moving on
I think the steps should be done so that you feel comfortable moving on, but the guideline is just that a guideline now I don't think days should be skipped unless it cannot be help because then the "weeds" begin to take back over in your garden, but if you are spending more time "weeding out a certain area of your garden" that in my opinion is a good thing because if left behind they will only take over what you worked so hard to clear out.
I too have the issue with giving it ALL to God and trusting Him to take care of it, I am a "fixer" by nature so I think "I" have to fix everything instead of allowing Him to take care of it.
But we both are in the right place and on the right path it just takes time.
God bless and stay strong in your walk and soon you will realize you are standing on the last stone and look back at a most beautiful garden created from your hard work and faith.

I did not do what you are doing the first time around...I did not spend enough time on the steps and work as hard as I should have....My reason for the second time through. YOU are doing it the right way! And God will continue to bless you for it

Thanks for the support:-D
Hi Cuc and SBennett,
Thank you so much for your support on this:-D I wanted to stay on the DAILY path but I prayed about it and the issues I was having problem complete forgiveness of others and forgiving myself. The extra couple of days on the 4th and 5th stone and really taking GOD time and His word dealing with it, has made a huge difference. I believe if I had not taken the extra time needed to really seek God, pray, and work on Letting Go and Let God work with me, the weeds HE and I pulled would still be there. GOD is so AWESOME and how He works when we let Him is so beautiful even in the times He gently convicts me of something. I need to really focus on Letting Go and Letting God but like you Cuc, I am a fixer too and it is hard to buck against my human nature. However, being constantly mindful of my need to Let God take complete control of the wheel without my back seat driving is helping me do it:-D
You know a Pastor once told me, You need to remove the "I" from your vocabulary and replace it with God. The ONLY exception to this rule where you need the "I" is when you say, "I" need God in my life, "I" want God in my life, therefore "I" choose to let God in to reign in my life and do HIS will to make me the person HE wants me to be". This is really an awesome saying if you give it some thought:-D
I really just wanted to say Thanks for the support:-D Christian support and fellowship is important to us in our walk with the Lord:-D

Amen Sister.
When we let go and let God we can ride through these things and enjoy the journey while He works His wonders and miracles.
I've been walking along side and praying for you. Just couldn't find words to share with you. But today I want you to know. I'm here. What is more important is God is with you every moment and every step. I pray He does his miraculous work with in you, His child. Take care and stay so close to Him you can't find you.

Sorrow looks back, Worry looks around, But faith looks up! Live simply, love generously, care deeply, speak kindly and trust in our Creator who loves us.
