Struggle with Impurity
Ever since I was a child, I had unwanted perverted sexual thoughts that were very disturbing. From the year of 1996 till now, I have been in bondage of impurity engaging into self gratification due to these thoughts. These thoughts would come and it would bring on intense urges or temptations. Some days I'm able to resist and some days or certain times of the day I'm not able to resist and I give in which is also known as habbital sin.
Every time I fail and give in to these temptations, I would beat myself up with guilt, shame, confusion, anxiety, depression, oppression and discouragement. I did research over the internet regarding my problems with this issue and it is said that I may have been born with Obsessive Sexual Behavior which is a side affect of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. All I know is that it is really affecting my walk with God. I want to be free from this, but I've been enslaved. I want to worship God in purity. I often cried out to God for deliverance.

Hello Joseph, Keep on praying and keep on trying to resist those temptations, Ask the Lord to give you the strength to resist
and when you fall, get up and ask for forgiveness
it wont be overnight but over time as it has been for me and you will be free
God knows your weakness and HE will make you strong, just lean on Him and when you feel you have to give in to the temptaion just think of Jesus and Him being there siting beside you, And divert your thoughts to something else
it wont be easy but I can do ALL things throgh Christ who gives me strength
YOU can do it WITH Gods Strength and Power
Singthose temptations away hehehe

Joseph_Michael,
I just wanted to say that I feel your pain. I don't know if you have tried the Counseling blog, but I am still working on that and it has done nothing but help me. The first step is a 2 week daily journal which you can do offline or on the Counseling Forums, and it will reveal a lot about yourself just discussing it publicly. One thing I learned is that God doesn't just want you to cry out to Him and turn around and look at the very thing you cried about. Everything in the Bible is about choices, and God he will tear down anything that is stopping you from defeating the enemy, but you must make the effort once he does so.
I know how much despair sexual sin causes, and I must admit it is testing my faith to the extreme. However, God says we should rejoice in these tests. I am not where I need to be but I have improved, and I'm not giving up. What I once thought was a permanent part of my life, I now see as something that will soon be gone. I suggest you try the counseling steps like I am.
