Day 1:
I don't know why things seem so confusing in learning what it means to be Christian or what I have to do to achieve my goal to become Christian and be closer to God. I feel lost inside I have talked with friends about things and trying to learn. They are both good Christians and have been for a very long time. While for a long time I have been confused and I blamed God for all my problems when I know I shouldn't have. I am very sorry that I did this. Now it's time to follow God and become close to him. However I feel like I don't know how or where to begin and I don't understand so many things. I'm starting from Square one which is what I think is so hard being an adult and having to learn everything that you were once taught incorrectly all over again so you know the truth. I hope I can accomplish this and make God proud.

heya rfaye...welcome to Oasis! You are so in the right place. Ya know, being saved starts with asking Jesus into your heart as your savior..asking Him for forgiveness for all your sins...and...then...you are saved. He begins the changes in you. Pray..talk to Him like He is your best friend..cuz He is. When you are saved, the Holy Spirit comes in and teaches and gives you understanding..as He leads..and speaks. Read your bible and ask the Holy Spirit to give you understanding. Remember that we are all sinners saved by grace alone. Its all about Who He is and how much He loves us. As you learn to surrender all your worries, your pains, your sins and regrets to Him, you will begin to feel not so lost. You are found. God bless you on this journey. Keep goin..take each step a day at a time. The minute you give your life to Him, you are found. Wont be perfect...thank God, He doesnt expect perfection..thats what His grace is all about...and He loves you so much more than you know.

praying for you through this walk you are on...and you arent alone

in Jesus,
luv momo *Halo*

hello rafaye *Wave*

It is Gods will we accept what Jesus did on the cross by receiving forgiveness.

Accepting his forgiveness and forgiving yourself. :)

We are all sinners. We all need Jesus. His blood was shed for that purpose.

Consider this.....

2 corinthians 12:9-10

But he said to me, My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.
*angel7* Sorrow looks back, Worry looks around, But faith looks up! Live simply, love generously, care deeply, speak kindly and trust in our Creator who loves us.

I am so excited you are here and want to be a Christian!! All it takes to start is believe Jesus is God's son and he died on the cross for all of your sins. Then you just tell Jesus you belive that, ask that HE forgive you of your sins and ask HIM to come into your heart!!! Then, it takes a lot of prayer, talking to other Christians, reading your bible,...and things like that. PLEASE ask questions of everyone here. You are so in the right place!

Day 2:
I went to the psychiatrist this evening and it seems like he can help me with my problems of mental illness more than the help i was receiving before. I am happy with that. I have also been praying more and reading the bible. I have never read the bible before. I got a teen bible, the international version to try and help break down things simpliar. I've read the past two nights. I found one of those bible reading plans to help me to read the bible in one year in order as it happened. I am hope the bible will help me to get more understanding my things as well and help me on this journey. I hope that i am able to understand the bible and make the goal of reading the entire old and new testament.

Hello rfaye, welcome to the Oasis. As I read through your shared words...I smiled....your wanting to grow closer to God is the first step....you mentioned you don't know where to begin....but I see you already have begun....by seeking God through the Bible...I also encourage you to begin talking with Jesus...tell him all about you...yes He already knows all about you, but he wants to hear you tell Him about you...He wants to get to know you as intimately as you want to know Him....so go ahead and talk away :)

Day 2 is about pulling the weeds from your mind...I noticed you mentioned you are visiting a psychiatrist...take this opportunity to pull out some of those weeds.

Keep walking through the steps rfaye.

I hope to meet you in the chatroom sometime soon.

Praying for you.

Take care and God Bless
Do you know my Jesus? Do you know my friend? Have you heard He loves you? If not, I'd like to introduce you.

HI rfaye,
Welcome to Oasis. I have been watching your post and thinking about something I might could say that would help you.
But you see in thinking...I put myself in the way and don't allow God to work. I have to ask Him for the words to say to you. And I will do just that.
I am so proud to see that you are searching for a relationship with Him.
I am so proud that He has brought you here and I know that it is not a mistake.
I just want to ask you some questions.....Have you asked Jesus Christ into your life to be your very own personal savior? Have you admitted that you are a sinner and that you need HIM?
If I read past that please forgive me..but if you have not made that personal relationship with HIM...please ask someone here to help you....I know they will be more than happy to.
Keep presisng in!!
Even in the hardest of times...He is there holding our hand

rfaye
you stated
No Tam I actually haven't asked him yet, I do know that i am a sinner and I have talked to God about that in my prayers.

Oh sweetie that needs to be your first step. All you have to do is to admitt that you are a sinner and you need a Saviour.
You just have to simply pray:

Jesus I need you in my life. I ask that you forgive me for all my sins and that you come in my life and save me. I admit that I am a sinner and that I need you. I ask that you would wash me clean by the Blood of the Lamb and that you would come in and live in my life. I welcome you in my life. I lay my all down for you. I realise that I can not do it on my own but that I do need someone to guide me along my way. I ask you to come in and to be that guide. Cleanse me, teach me, and lead me. Thanks you for forgiving me and for saving me today. Amen

It is that simple. He is there waiting to you to ask. He will not say no and He will not run in the other direction from you but He will welcome you home with open arms.

I am here if you ever want someone to talk to or to pray with you.

God Bless You on your journey.
