Day 1

Postby rosegall » Tue Sep 21, 2010 9:33 am

Well, I had already written privately for day one a couple of days ago. I missed a day but will complete that today. I just thought it would be only right to mention what happened day 1 a couple days ago. Plus, I had to wait or my account to go through. So now that I'm all set.

Day 1:

Holy Spirit led me to this so that I can have and understand my relationship with Him. We have been talking a lot and He's been teaching me a lot. This is an exercise we are completing together. Boy do I love learning and He knows this. I enjoy the relationship we are building together. Although sometimes I do block Him out but I try to listen most of the time.

We had a conversation about opening up and being completely honest with one another. He invited me to talk to Him like a best friend. He jokingly said that I didn't have to worry about Him telling my business to anyone...lol. I'm glad He has a sense of humor because I wouldn't want to be friends with someone who was serious all the time. He knows what kind of friends I like. I don't have many because I am a very private person. As you can see I'm breaking out of that shell on here.

I asked Him about the other voice I hear in my head that taunts me and laughs at me when I mess up. He told me to ignore that voice and continue looking to God in faith. He also told me that praising God and ignoring it would taunt it back! lol. So I got that part but sometimes its hard to ignore because it nerve wrecking but I noticed that I don't hear it as much only when I am lonely.

He also told me to tell Him everyday one thing about myself so here goes,

I am a mother of 4 kids. 3 girls and one boy. Positive
My youngest daughter passed away from SIDS. Negative

Well, I decided to start our relationship off with something positive and something negative. I'm sure He will respond to this but I am typing and not really focused on listening. lol.

oh ok, He says in response: "That's not what you said two days ago...jokingly. But He says to the positive, God has truly blessed you with children and you will have another soon. For the negative, Try not to view this as a negative thing. I understand it hurts, but God has a plan and your daughter is with Him. This is something we will privately go through until you are ready to openly talk about it."

My response: "Have another?! Well, I have been praying for another ONE... So it is good to know my prayers will be answered.

So this is usually how our relationship is. I speak to Him and He speaks back. No matter what I say He has something to say back that will lead me into the Bible or just general conversation that will bring comfort to me.

So this I am enjoying and intend on building a strong foundation.

Wow that was long, did I say everything???...lol. Just playing I did. :)

Hello again rosegall, I think it's wonderful that you share everything with the Holy Spirit! This will get you closer to God and will also give you an opportunity to hear Him and what He wants for you. May you know that everything that happens to us in life, both good and bad is all for God's glory...may He continue to receive glory from you life.

Take care and God Bless
Do you know my Jesus? Do you know my friend? Have you heard He loves you? If not, I'd like to introduce you.
