Hi China *Wave*

One thing that I have realized is we have a choice to entertain those thoughts that bring us fear and anxiety. We can allow thoughts that bring us fear to grow or we can snuff them out.

Most of what we fear never happens anyway.

Hi Pine :)
It is so true what you have said about fear, and that we have a choice to entertain those thoughts that bring us fear and anxiety or to snuff them out.
With me , the anxiety appears to happen immediately I am with people-it all seems to happen very fast. However there are certain ideas and beliefs that I have about myself, that I have been entertaining. It is changing these beliefs to truthful beliefs that seems to be a real problem.
I am very happy to be here at Christianity Oasis though, and thank you for your reply's,
China

Sounds like you are on the right road.

Remove the lies as soon as they begin. And tell yourself the truth.

What God thinks of you is far more important than what any human thinks of you.

Build your relationship with Him. The counseling they offer here is a great way to get to know Him closer and find what He thinks of you. Have you considered doing these steps? Perhaps you already have or have already begun it?

Here's the link if you haven't. :)

Hello China :)

God bless you this day.

First of all I want to welcome you to Christianity Oasis. And I also want to tell you there is hope in overcoming fear. I battled fear for many years, but I found out that God never intended us to live in fear.

II Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Woooooohooooooo!!! This particular scripture was one that God used to really instill hope in me.

China, The Word of God is alive -- it is Jesus. He has not left us alone, we have His Word. And for those of us that have accepted Jesus as Lord and Saviour -- we acknowledge He died for our sins and we ask Him into our life -- ...for those of us that have taken this step, He then sends The Holy Spirit of God to indwell us, helping us to overcome. How does He do this? by the power in the life of Jesus -- God's power.

Zechariah 4:6 Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the Lord unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit, saith the Lord of hosts.

That means it's not by our doing, and our huffing and puffing, but by His power given us by His Spirit indwelling us.

China, in navigating around this site, if you look up towards the top of the page, you'll see headings like...Audio Bible, Bible Search, Calendar, CD Player, and then on the next line... Christianity Oasis (that's the Home page), then you'll see Christian Studies. China, the Christians Studies offer a wealth of information, so very key to our growth and understanding in this faith walk. The studies are Holy Spirit inspired and lean heavily on the Word of God. I hope you will truly take full advantage of these blessed studies. They truly are good for what ails ya. :) I can testify to that, myself. The studies are listed in alphabetical order, and there is one on Fear that I think would be a good one for you to start with.

But, don't stop there. Keep filling yourself up with the knowledge of God through His Word. The studies help us in studying His Word and thoroughly digesting it, and are like a friend walking along with us as we come get to know the depths of our Lord.

Deuteronomy 8:3 And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the Lord doth man live.

Matthew 4:4 But He (Jesus) answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

Our Lord is our Healer, and He wants us healed and whole and overflowing with His love, peace and joy. I hope that stirs some awesome hope in you, because China ...faith is the substance of things hoped for.

I'm lifting you up to our Lord in prayer. God's blessed will be done.

God bless and keep you, China.
In Christ Jesus' love,
Sister Mack

Hello China *hug*

To answer your question as to whether or not I'm free of my fears now, I'm happy to report...Yes, Amen. Thank You Lord.

Now, I won't kid you, sometimes the enemy of our souls tries to slip in a thought and have me become fearful, but I know now to go directly to God and confess it before Him, and ask Him to help me overcome. He does. He is so very Good.

God bless and keep you, China.
Love,
Sister Mack
