good morning :) I'm sorry somehow I must have missed your post on Saturday...I pray you have forgiven yourself and are now getting up and trying again.

I will keep your daughter and hubby in prayers. May God become their foundation, and may He guide their steps.

Have a great day.

Thanks again guys for the support, I really appreciate it!
Slipped yesterday, before my wife came home. Then, when she got home, she hugged me and told me I was a good man. Talk about mixed feelings! (She doesn't know about the issue.) I'm praying God will bring that to my mind every time I'm tempted.
Take care, and have a blessed day!

svdbybld,

I want you to take a moment and think of the times that you think you are probably most vulnerable to the temptation. Then take a moment and sit with God and ask Him what other directions He would suggest you take when the temptation arises. That way when the temptation comes about the next time you will be prepared to find the pathway that He offers you to be able to step away from falling. It may not be an easy pathway especially at first...but once you blaze the trail with Jesus...it will get easier.

Still praying for you.

Have you confessed this sin to a trusted brother or pastor?
Also, at some point I personally believe you need to talk with your wife. Take that for what it's worth but I honestly think it is a step in overcoming this.

Hey everyone,
I have been thinking about how I can redirect myself when the temptation strikes, and there are plenty of constructive things I can do. Thanks for the reminder, mlg. Yesterday was good, today, with God's help, will be better. Thank you, everyone.

Also it may help if you try to figure out why you are drawn to porn. Gotta give you a big thumbs up and congrats, because you are trying.

And you're trying really hard.

Anyway, if you can figure out why you're drawn to the porn, you maybe able to substitute something else in its place. Sometimes it's just the fact that men carry so much stress internalized and they are compartmentalized thinkers. So when the compartment is full of issues to be dealt with that involve emotions or other brain power, it's easier to "power down" the brain with porn. In otherways, it's a powerful relaxer, without paying for medication etc.

Not every woman will get really upset when they deal with their spouse's porn issue. It's handled different ways by different women. However, it's best not to let that one be a surprise.

best wishes,
whisp

thanks for trying to figure this one out earlier than later. i 'm not married to you, but i do appreciate your efforts.

Thanks all for the support and encouragement. I appreciate it.
Yesterday was another really good day!
I have been thinking about the attraction, and, while I'm not real sure about it yet, God has shown me that all I need to do is rely on Him right now when the temptation hits. And that is enough for now.
Well, gotta go get ready for work. Thanks again everyone, and today is going to be a good day!

God's mercies are new each morning...and as I see His joy exuding out of you...it reminds me of just how much change He can make in ones life...if we allow Him to do so.

Keep fighting the good fight and enjoy your day.

Well, yesterday (Friday) was a good day...today, not as good...I say not as, because I've been home alone all day, and I've been sorely tempted. And, I would go to sites, then leave, then go, then pray, then leave...I guess I can take some satisfaction in knowing that I didn't stay, or get wrapped up for an hour or more like I used too..and then of course, the devil tells me I may as well hang out, I'm never going to be able to stop, if God really cared, I would be instantly delivered, I don't deserve anything I have, I'm a horrible man, a horrible husband, and on, and on.
I've kind of overcome that for today and like I said, I kind of look at what happened today as some improvement...just need more prayer, and any further advice.
Thanks.

Yesterday, SUnday, was a good day, and today will be to, with God's help. Ya know, I've been thinking about things, and it occurred to me, I've never really felt close to God at all...not like some people...I just don't seem to have that deep relationship, and I want that. Anyway, just my thoughts at 6:10 a.m.
Talk to everyone later.
