Underwater Oil leak

Postby lizzie » Sun May 30, 2010 8:43 pm

Im sure everyone is aware of this by now. Just wondering if anyone has seen the live feed that British Petroleum is giving of this. I havent been able to get the feed to work for me, but have seen footage from it on news reports and such. Its really a sad sight. Anyhow, if anyone does wanna try to give it a go, you can go to BPs site and check it out. Let me know what you think about this situation if you wanna share.

Hi lizzie...this is a real sore spot for me...I've written both my Senator and State Representative...just want to see this fixed and soon...but asked the government to require those switches to be put on all offshore drills from here forward...as this rig did not have one as they are very expensive...but I think the expense of having one would have been less than cleaning this mess anyday...ok I could go on...but think it best I get off my soapbox...it's just sad sad sad.

luv ya

On April 19, 2010 Israel celebrated their Independence.

On April 19, 2010 the United States of America announced it would no longer automatically support Israel in the United Nations Security Council.

On April 20, 2010 the deep water Horizon oil rig exploded, killing 11 people and causing an environmental disaster, the full extent of which we have yet to realize.

God made an eternal, irrevocable covenant with Israel.

"And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed. Genesis 12:3

Wake up, America!

hiya splish *hug*

Its really funny (translate: ridiculous) how most people arent seeing the hand of God in this. Of course their focus is on one of the 'oil gods', but most Christians will, i hope, see the bigger picture.

I certainly cant say its God trying to punish people for one thing or other, I just dont know so I am unable to say that with certainty.. but it is being allowed by God for a reason that goes further than unsafe oil rigs and greedy energy giants.

Fox News:
The deadly blowout of an oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico was triggered by a bubble of methane gas that escaped from the well and shot up the drill column, expanding quickly as it burst through several seals and barriers before exploding, according to interviews with rig workers conducted during BP's internal investigation.

BP is but one of MILLIONS of companies that dont put safety of their workers far less the environment, first. They are being made an example of in this case, but it coulda just as well been another company, another workplace, another country etc. But this is hardly something they would have set out to do, and hindsight is afterall, 20/20. And of course they are gonna be paying out of their noses for years to come, which will in no way repair the damage done and the damage yet to be done, but somehow the thought of money always seems to be equated with comfort for losses and pain incurred.

So... where might this one event lead... not for bp and the places affected, but for Christians, and if we claim to believe that everything happens for a reason, then what is the real reason and how does it fit into the puzzle?

Splash I agree!

I try to follow Israel but fall so short in understanding what they are talking about. Can you explain the reason U.S. chose this.....

Ohh i agree very much with Splash. She hit it right on.

The week Hurricane Katrina hit. In Israel, they had forced the Jews to leave the Gaza Strip. America was also behind that, pushing Israel that it was for the best and had to be done.

I wanted to say more to all this but had to run and wasn't able to.
This has been taken from one of many articles on this .

Condoleezza Rice back in 2005 has urged Israeli and Palestinian leaders to immediately settle their disputes over a planned withdrawal of Israelis from the Gaza Strip.

Renewing U.S. involvement in the Mideast peace process, Rice said coordination between the two sides was crucial to this summer's planned pullout from Gaza and parts of the West Bank.

The United States hopes an orderly withdrawal could breathe new life into the peace process, as outlined in an internationally backed plan known as road map.'

On August 17, 2005 the first Jewish settlers were forcibly removed from the Gaza Strip.

Little less then a week later, on August 23, 2005 Katrina formed over the Bahamas and crossed southern Florida. Then Entering into the Gulf strengthening to a Category 5. One article had mentioned, [i]Our nation and the entire world watched in disbelief as the nightmare from Katrina grew and held the world's most powerful nation hostage in her devastating grip.

Just passing this along for what it's worth.

A company called Boots and Coots, a famous oil and gas wellhead safety firm (the company who put out oil fires in the Gulf War) was bought by none other than - HALIBURTON - just a few weeks before the explosion that created this catastrophe.

Serendipity strikes again I 'spose, eh.

At any rate, my personal responce is to simply never purchase another drop of BP gas... ever again.

Howdy icedoc,

WOW that is very interesting yet not a surprise as there are less than 1% of this world that controls basically all the money and everything that goes along with that.

I too will stay away from BP, Halliburton, Wackenhut and all the rest that lust after the almighty dollar over human lives and the beauty of this earth that God created and the giants of this age are destroying.

Lord Jesus Come Quickly

Peace and Blessings to you :)
