Raising Funds

Postby Timothy » Sat Jun 12, 2010 2:21 pm

My son wants to have a rummage sale to raise money for Christianity Oasis.

I said, OK.

My wife suggested we turn our returnable bottles and cans and send in
the money from those.

I said, OK.

Any other ideas?

I've been racking my brain as to what i could do. I really don't wear any jewerly and i have some here that is just sitting there and most is broken but can be sold, may not bring in much but its something.

Anyone else has any jewerly they wouldn't mind parting with?

If you have newspapers you can recycle them for the money.

If you have a garden or some chickens you could sale the extra produce or eggs if you don't need them.
Do you know my Jesus? Do you know my friend? Have you heard He loves you? If not, I'd like to introduce you.

I have posted on a local classified site that is free.
Might want to look in your area; something like craigslist or free classifieds in paper.
Make up an introduction that will draw attention to people who are lonely, hurting, or wanting to serve.
Just a thought.

Luv Ya

Starting a Scripture based 12 step study group , not necessarily applied to specific issue , ie: alcohol/drugs but rather to whatever ails them (it works .. it really works) at the church Jill & I helping to establish , and using the 7th tradition (passing the hat) money to be pumped into the Oasis . The pastor , who is also in recovery and having become great friends , thought it a great idea , will charge no rent .
