Postby saint701 » Fri Jun 04, 2010 1:34 pm

Hello All,

*AngelYellow*
Blessings!

Feeding one's faith should be an interesting topic for you all to jump in on. So how do you feed your faith? Faith is a divine necessity. We must have it to access grace.

Rom.5

1. [2] By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

It is most certainly far better to die in faith believing, than it is to live in unbelief.

Not sure it's how i feed my faith but rather how the Holy Spirit feeds my faith. Sometimes my faith lacks a great deal. It gets hard to read, or pray, i do though go read and pray. Sometimes listen to Christian music find a song that really speaks the truth to me and mediate on the Lord. It's when Jesus comes along and picks me back up that my faith grows cause one more time did the Lord carried me through the Storm. With that i'm able to see His promises, his love, and that causes my faith to grow. He's my deliverer.

Then seeing the Lord by His Spirit also do this with all His sheep, my faith grows, my love grows, i'm drawn closer to Him. Through it all brings me to a place of relying more and more on Him.

Feeding my on faith i would have to say reading God's Word, knowing all thats written is all real, its all truth.

Lord Bless you Brother.

Hello Angeltears, All,

Good morning,

Blessings!

Yes, is true Angeltears that when we receive revelation from the Holy Spirit such strengthens our faith, and we can build our self up praying in the Holy Spirit.

Jude.1

1. [20] But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,

And reading the Bible helps lots if we have grown in faith to the extent that we can begin to claim our Lord's precious promises, such as whatsoever you ask in my name I will do it. Or from Paul, where we are told,

Heb.4

1. [16] Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

Our faith jumps into a new dimension when we understand the great power of God toward us in the New Covenant He has made with us in the Blood of His Son our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. As is written, we have a better covenant (than the old) based upon better promises.

Just what are those promises??

well I believe there are two kinds of faith there is a saving faith, and a working faith, I don't think we can feed our saving faith, it is a measure given to every man, God is not a respect of persons, so He won't give me more than He gave you. but now the working faith, this is the faith that the disciples ask Jesus to increase. this is the faith that put men and women into the Hall of Fame, this is the faith that is spoken of as running a race and finishing the course, all may race but not all can finish first, in man's eyes, but with God all can be winners. but by using our faith that no matter if the fires burns us up, or the Lions devour us we will trust in the Lord, this is the faith that separate the men from the boys or the women from the girls. This is the faith that we can feed and allow it to increase or strengthen. Peter walking on the water had nothing to do with His salvation, even after He walked on the water, he knew it was Jesus that he needed to save him

Daniel 3:16-18

16 Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter.
17 If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king.
18 But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.

KJV

now that's feeding faith
