Hey sis *hug* make sure you dig those weeds all the way up from the root too...lest they come back...and sometimes the weeds will have a twin...so be careful to watch for those as well.

remember sis...this is a daily thing. God is good and faithful. He will complete what He's started in you...in fact...just look at what He is doing through you already! Just be His willing vessel.

the bible says in Proverbs 23:7 For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he

our thoughts are so crucial in our walks with the Lord. The minute the enemy accuses..or you think about things you have done or things that have hurt you, remember...its all covered by the grace of God and cast them out again. Keep believing and seeking God's truth. You are so loved and cherished by Him.

God bless you, sis.

in Jesus,
love momo *Halo*

Step 10

Postby glassdigger » Sun May 23, 2010 6:06 pm

Its been a few day since I have been able to do my steps as I have been at the shelter working. The teaching have I learned in these step have transferred into my teachings with the lady's, I heard phrases from the steps pass threw me and to each and every lady I worked with, what an amazing blessing! Today I read about effective prayer. This is something I really took a lot from. I believe that the time we spend in communion with God is the most important time of each day. The skills and insight taught in this step I know will enrich that time and also allow me to be more reciprocal in pray with God. I really felt in reading this God was telling me more about what he wants from me. Amen!!!!!

glassdigger...praying is wonderful sis...it gets you right up there next to God where you can make your requests known to Him as well as to tell Him how you love Him, and praise Him and worship Him...a prayer is such a small thing but can bring such awesome results as there is true power in prayer.

God is sooo good! His word is true...His heart is for you!

check out this vs...

2 Corinthians 1:4
Who(God) comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.

Keep going sis. Be His willing vessel. This is only part of His plan for you!

God bless you and am still praying for ya!

Stepping stone 12

Postby glassdigger » Tue May 25, 2010 9:03 pm

Falling down and getting back up again was the topic of this step. Whew!! From here I really do not look forward to the time I fall down, but I know there will be many times in my life that I will. Its been a constant battle to keep pulling the weeds and filling those places with God stuff. I must look a little weird on the outside while I cry one minute, then pull that weed and laugh the next. LOL!! Riding to work the other day I was listening to the radio...there was a song playing, it was about the the nails in Jesus hands. At that very moment I could see him and knew he didn't just empathize with my pain, he felt it. He felt MY pain. He understood like no other I love Jesus so much for that sacrifice, though I know there will never be a way to repay him, that as much as I love him I could never love him enough to make us even and he knew that before he even did it. Thank you Jesus!

Hey glassdigger...that's one thing that's so amazing about God...we don't have to try to repay what He does for us. In fact, He loves us so much...He does without asking if we deserve to be helped. God wants you to get back up each and every time you fall down...We all stumble...and God knows this...but it's about getting up and getting back to it that really matters.

I can't believe you are on step 12 already...woohooo fantastic only 2 more steps to go.

luv ya

Stepping stone 13

Postby glassdigger » Wed May 26, 2010 6:16 pm

The stepping stone today was my favorite. Fellowship. I love to be with
Gods people. I love doing Gods work. I love telling people about him and walking with them as they find Gods love. There is no joy greater than praying with a lost soul who has been found and experiences real joy for the first time in their life as they give themselves over to the one true God. My biggest gift from God is to be able to work with people in this way. I am so thankful for that gift that I cannot even find the words to express it.
I am off to the shelter tomorrow so I will not get to my last stepping stone until Monday. God bless all those who have shared this journey with me.

That's so wonderful sis...to know that you enjoy fellowship as much as He would have you to enjoy it. I too enjoy fellowship and serving God...reaching lost souls and seeing them grow and change into what He creates them to be. You have done great with the steps sis...one more to go...but this won't be the end...you will see it's just the beginning.
