When I'm happy, I feel wrong,
and feel ashamed for being strong.
I'm not comfortable with the new me,
why's it so strange to be set free?

I always thought I wanted free,
I guess understanding is what I need.
why do I feel the need to feel pain,
do I really like drowning in the rain?

Because of my past, pain is my friend,
and it doesn't wanna seem to end.
I got comfortable living with pain,
I know this all sounds insane.

But pain is all I've ever known,
even now that I'm grown.
Now I need to be happy so I can move on,
but I feel that being happy is wrong.

we are comfortable in what we know...but He has so much more planned for you. Step out into the unknown...where He is...He will lead you. theres no reason to be afraid. He is with you always.

YOU are a beautiful, awesome, precious, beloved child of God. YOU deserve to be free, to be able to walk away from the past and rejoice in the beautiful future that lies ahead. God has a plan for you that's beyond anything you ever dreamed. He's created you for a purpose which I don't know but I do know that it's to serve HIM and others. There's one who wants you to keep your focus on yourself so that you aren't free to fully love others. But I know you and you're much stronger than you think you are. You've already overcome in Christ. I'm so blessed to know ya'.

wow...thanks...I am going to walk out of my past being one person...I am going to overcome these obstacles. I am going to become friends with the little girl inside me.
