i was reading this morning and came across a few verses......

Hebrews chapter 13: 2

Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.

even though we don't realize it... angels are everywhere.. seen and unseen.... we may have even spoken to some and not known it....

verse 5

Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for He hath said , I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.


sometimes we look around and see all the things people have, have experienced, or are about to receive..... and we start to think .. about how much happier we would be if we only had that one thing... or if we were that one person.... ( i know i been there.. i have those thoughts everyday... one of my weaknesses i think).... we seem to forget two things.. one... that there have been many things we have wanted.. thought that if i just had that one thing then i would be happy... and then we received it .. and it was good for a while.. but then the edge wears off.. and then we are on to the next thing..... two that we are complete in God.. He is every thing we need.. always.. for eternity.. and He has promised us... I WILL NEVER, LEAVE THEE NOR FORSAKE THEE. ... <----- see there it is... read it again...

verse 6

So that we may boldly say. The Lord is my helper, and i will not fear what man shall do unto me.

If we allow God to sit on the throne on our hearts... and pray and surrender to His will... although the outcome may not always be exactly what we expected.. we can know that it is in His LOVING hands.

verse 8

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, and today, and forever.

His love, His sacrifice, His promises,... are the same always and forever....

verse 14

For here we have no continuing city, but we seek the one that is to come.

this world is not our home... we have a BETTER place.... a permanent one with God...

verse 20

Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant.

The blood of the EVERLASTING covenant.. we are saved because of our Lord Jesus who died and rose again for our sins... its done .. its over.. we are HIS...

those verses spoke to me ... i hope they bring you peace too..
