Does He love me?

Postby momof3 » Mon Mar 22, 2010 11:17 am

this thread is one ive been praying about. There are so many lies the enemy tells us about ourselves and they are so easy to believe.

the thing is, God says differently. In this thread, lets post scripture, song, anything that is truth, that comes from God. Let's counteract the lies with the truth.

everyone is welcome to post as the Lord leads...together, lets let the Lord break the bonds of the lies the enemy tells us and hear the truth of what God says. It all comes down to...WHO are YOU gonna believe?

God bless you all...He loves you so very very much. You are the apple of His eye and His heart is longing for you to know how much He loves you..and desires YOU.

in Jesus,
love momo *Halo*

Ever wonder where the roots of discouragement, lonliness, unworthiness, doubt...all those life-sucking thoughts come from?

Yes, they come from the things we have faced in this life and from the enemy.

check this out..

Genesis chapter 1 vs. 27 and 28..
27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

look at what's next in vs. 31....And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

and God told them this...in Ch 2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

now lets look at when the enemy came in.....Ch 3:1 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

2 And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: 3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.

what did the enemy say next?

4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

Did you catch that? the enemy of our souls....not only challenged Eve's belief in what she knew the Lord had said, he caused her to doubt what He had said was true by asking her what God said to begin with.

he caused her to question the very words of God by calling Him a liar.

Isnt that what he does with us? He tempts us with our pasts...with lies that have taken root through some decision we have made or through something that has happened in our lives..and makes us question what God has said about us..and about Him.

The enemy of our souls actually sets out to make us doubt what the Lord has said is true.

I want to give ya'll the lyrics to a song by Switchfoot...and!!!! challenge you to seek out His truth this week from His word...

Do you remember when
You were way back then
You held the world inside your hands
When you told me love
Was the strongest stuff
Your strength was innocence

But, oh man
The signs of the time are omens
You're starting the day in
No man's land again

Who are you gonna be?
When you're on your knees, who do you believe?
Fear is lonely man
You've been given innocence
You've been given innocence again

You should know by now
That the darkest hour
Is when your broken heart goes down
It's a bitter end
When the sweet begins
Grace is sufficiency

But, oh dear we'll never deserve it
No dear, we never could earn it
Now, here the choice is yours

Who are you gonna be?
When you're on your knees, who do you believe?
Fear is lonely man
You've been given innocence
You've been given innocence again

Grace is high and low
We'll never be the same

what it comes down to is this...who are you going to believe when the enemy hits you with all the poison arrows? Is God's word true? Is it enough to counter whatever it is you face in this life?

Who are YOU gonna believe?

psalm 91:1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

Psalms 128

1 Blessed is every one that feareth the LORD; that walketh in his ways.
2 For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee.
3 Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine by the sides of thine house: thy children like olive plants round about thy table.
4 Behold, that thus shall the man be blessed that feareth the LORD.
5 The LORD shall bless thee out of Zion: and thou shalt see the good of Jerusalem all the days of thy life.
6 Yea, thou shalt see thy children's children, and peace upon Israel.
Do you know my Jesus? Do you know my friend? Have you heard He loves you? If not, I'd like to introduce you.

1 Corinthians:26 For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:
27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;
28 And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:
29 That no flesh should glory in his presence.
30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:
31 That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.

By Your Side/Tenth Avenue North

Why are you striving these days?
Why are you trying to earn grace?
Why are you crying?
Let Me lift up your face.. just don't turn away

Why are you looking for love?
Why are you still searching as if I'm not enough?
To where will you go child?
Tell me where will you run; to where will you run?

'cos I'll be by your side wherever you fall
In the dead of night whenever you call
And please don't fight these hands that are holding you
My hands are holding you

Look at these hands and My side
They swallowed the grave on that night
When I drank the world's sin
So I could carry you in and give you life
I wanna give you life

And I'll be by your side wherever you fall
In the dead of night whenever you call
And please don't fight these hands that are holding you
My hands are holding you

Here at my side wherever you fall
In the dead of night whenever you call
And please don't fight these hands that are holding you
My hands are holding you

'cause I, I love you..I want you to know
That I, yeah I love you...I'll never let you go
No no

And I'll be by your side wherever you fall
In the dead of night whenever you call
And please don't fight these hands that are holding you
My hands are holding you

Here at my side wherever you fall
In the dead of night whenever you call
And please don't fight these hands that are holding you
My hands are holding you

Here at my side
My hands are holding you
