Pray - God or Jesus?
Just so I completely understand, am I supposed to be praying through Jesus (yet talking to God) or am I supposed to send all of my prayers to Jesus directly. I just want to make sure I am understanding. Thanks

When you pray you pray to God through Jesus who is your intercessor...when you repent of your sins you are asking Jesus to wash your sins clean allowing God to hear your requests and thoughts. But remember God is Jesus and the Holy Spirit, so when you pray to Jesus you are praying to God.
Hope that helps clarify sis.

Do you know my Jesus? Do you know my friend? Have you heard He loves you? If not, I'd like to introduce you.

I also know some people who think that God is too much for them and so they pray to Jesus because he seems more approachable. That's okay too because like mlg said, they are the same.
But pray with the Holy Spirit, not to him.

hi heather nice to meet you sis
we should always go back to God's Word to find our answers because His Word contains truth.
when i was learning to pray, i studied the section where Jesus taught His disciples to pray (luke 11). Jesus specifically said, "when you pray, pray like this: our father in heaven ... this means the God who is in heaven ... Jesus didn't say to pray to "Himself" ... He specifically addresses God as "our" father ... meaning that God is the father of Jesus also.
Jesus opened up the way back for us to pray directly to God ... for us to go bodly into the sanctuary of God and to commune with God in the Holy of Holies ... we claim the power of Jesus by invoking His name to get there. i would not pray TO Jesus ... but rather acknowledge and thank Him that He made it possible for me to go directly to God.
the only examples i can find of prayer in the Word is people praying through Jesus not to Him.
