reasons i pray

Postby kentuckyranger » Sat Feb 20, 2010 12:06 pm

a few verses make know im heard. job 5:8 i would seek unto God and unto God would i commit my cause. 6:8 oh that i might have my request:and that god would grant me the thing that i long for. 13:6 hear now my reasoning, and hearken to the pleadinngs of my lips. psalms 8:3 when i consider thy heavens, the works of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained. 18:6 in my distress i called upon the lord and cried unto my god: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into thy ears. 20:6 now i know i that the Lord saveth his annoited: he will hear him from his holy heaven with the saving strenght of his right hand. 25:17 the troubles of my heart are enlarged:o bring me out of my distress. 34:15 the eyes of the lord are open upon the righteous and his ears are open unto their cry, 34:17-18 the righteous cry and the lord heareth ,and deliverth them out of al their troubles, the lord is nigh unto tem that are of a broken heart: and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit. 40:1 i waited patiently for the lord and he inclined unto me;and heard my cry. jeremiah 32:27 behold, i am the lord, the god of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me? thats just a very few of passages i could share. so when i pray for something a better job or finding a mate or something for some one else, or what ever else is on my mind at the time. and it seems to me my prayers are getting no higher than the ceiling, i try to ask my self, dannyboy who is stronger god in his power and might, or you in youre sin-ful, veil of the flesh you are wearing. then it hits me that god is more powerful, and he also gives us the holy spirit to ride shot gun for us in our prayers. so whether i trusting my feelings of god hearing me or not. he always does.

Amen He always does...and He always answers...yes...no...or not now...but either way...we can have peace in knowing that He hears our prayers and He knows what is best for us, and why.

heya ranger, God bless you, bro.

ive had many times when it seemed my prayers stopped at the ceiling..and then am reminded that the Lord is in my heart and is praying with me and for me, too..so, He is present with me when i pray. No, i dont always get the answer i want, but His answer is so much better. In those times when prayer feels dry, keep pushing through, knowing He is listening and everpresent with you.

luv ya, bro and am so glad you are back!

in Jesus,
luv momo *Halo*

I've always wandered what would happen if the preacher were to move the pulpit of the church to the back row...would everyone move to the front?
