Alright y'all.... I am tired of waiting from someone else to tell me what is going on.....

The question isn't "Are We Gathering" the questions is...
WHEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am completely clueless about how one of these events are planned, who plans them, how the location is decided, what is involved, is it one day or several, or anything else really....

All I want to see is...

Y'all TALKIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Let's get the ball rollin'.... I want to hug all of ya so.....

Please Share ;)
Your ideas and knowledge!

Peace and Luv in Christ,
*BlessYou* Lani

Hey Lani,
I Don't think Cubby and I will be able to attend a gathering this year.
First of April we have a vacation and hope to head south to visit family and friends.
Might be possible we could swing through the gathering if it's at that time, but I won't know for certain.

Even if just a few get together you'll be blessed.

Hope you all have a fun and safe get together.
You'll be in my thoughts and prayers.

No Worries mlg and Pine... somewhat bummed, but understood and respected... you will be there in spirit ;)

Hey Mrs ;)

OK... to give you a brief description... "The Gathering" is a family reunion of sorts here at Oasis. The are planned every so often and those who are able, join together for Fun, Fellowship, and Praise.... In truth, I've never been to one either but it is something I am determined to see come to pass. There are many awesome family members here each of which I'd like to hug in person :)

This post is an effort to get those who have already been to one to offer ideas, suggestions, and tips.... *help*

I am a patient individual, so we shall see what comes to be.

Papa has this, No Worries :)

Check back often!! As ideas come in we will be brainstorming :) Hope you will be able to attend one sometime in the future!!

*hug5*

Why aren't y'all talkin? :P

Luv ya!

Hello lani :)

Well if ur lookin for tips and suggestions here are a few:

1. Plan the gathering in as central of a location as possible so that as much people as possible can attend without having to make long trips which can be costly. This can be done thru a poll if u can narrow down to a few areas.

2. Choose a time of year thats not too hot, not too cold, so that folks will be able to be outdoors and interact with each other without melting or freezing.

3. Give adequate notice so that folks can prep way in advance as ppl may have to take time off work, and save etc to be able to attend.

4. Choose a place that has sufficient hotels and at reasonable prices. A safe area of course :)

5. Plan a central meeting place, whether it be at a campground, or lake or whatever, where everyone can gather together regardless of where they are bunking overnight.

Those are general suggestions. Of course if someone is wanting to plan one in their area, they can certainly do so and see who is able to attend.

As far as the duration,im thinking most wont be able to make it for more than a weekend, as there is school and work commitments etc. So this is somethin to take into consideration when choosing dates.

Hope this helps ya lani :) GBU sister.
