Tex Mex Bake ( 30 minute meal!!)
I make this for my family at least twice a month and also when company joins us... I always get LOTS of compliments about it, so I wanted to share it with each of you. I cook dinner EVERYDAY (lol) because my husband is one who believes in home-cooked meals made often
Please give this a try, it is very tasty, and I would love to hear your comments!!!
TEX MEX BAKE (mexican style dish) easy 30 minute recipe/meal
You will need the following:
Tortilla chips
1 can of tomato sauce with zesty green chilies
1 pound of hamburger (chicken can be substitute here if desired)
1 can of chili beans or pinto beans
1 lb of cube cheese ( or half if you don't like real cheesy)
1 bag of success microwaveable rice (comes in a box with 5 or so bags)
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Cook hamburger thoroughly and drain. Set aside.
Put rice in microwave following box instructions. (usually 10 minutes)
Lightly spray your baking pan.
Crush tortillas (about 2 cups) enough to cover the bottom of the pan.
In a bowl, mix your hamburger, rice, and tomato sauce with zesty green chilies.
Add this on top of the crushed tortillas in the pan.
On top of the hamburger mixture, add the chilli beans (or pinto) to make a layer across the top.
Then top off with the cheese spread across the top.
Bake for 15 minutes in the oven at 350 or until cheese is melted.
