Hi Family,
I wanted you to know that since I have my granddaughter every other Saturday I might not beable to do chat on Saturday nights every Saturday. So if you don't hear from me, this is why. Also, please continue to pray for me as I have the MRI next week to see if my walking problems is because of MS (multiple sclerosis) My symptoms all go along with that disease. I just want to know what it is so I can deal with it.
It is out of my hands and His Hands so Gods will be done.
You all will be in my prayers.

Sylvia. I want to say I always look for you at this time. I have learned alot from you and have seen you grow. You are an asset to this program. The brain MRI came out normal. I now am going to have an MRI tomorrow on my neck. Plus I am having a complete blood work up done next Weds. So hopefully but this time next week I will know something.
I am so tired all the time. Everything is an effort for me.
But the good news is today makes Five months sober. Praise the Lord.
Last night I celebrated. You say "how did you celebrate Sylvia?"
I had a brownie sundae. Ha ha, fooled ya!!
Plus next week is my birthday so I plan on having another brownie sundae then. I found out Realtmg that you are definately right on about chocolate being a good substitute for alcohol. Plus another thing I like to do is drink fruit juice in a fancy glass. Here in New Hampshire it is cider season and I have been sipping cider every night. (no it is not hard cider)
Also believe it or not, even with the sundae's, and chocolate I have lost 10 pounds since I stopped the beer. Maybe I should publish a book on a new diet "Sylvia's chocolate diet"

Sister. I read your post yesterday and though about it all day. I am very proud of you as to where you are at in your recovery. And more so, God is too. 5 months is a long time and you did this ONE DAY AT A TIME. Stay in today and do not look too far off in the future or dwell in the past. Keep the sweets handy and stay in God's will daily. It blesses my heart to see growth in people. I have seen much in you. The journey you are now on only gets better and more fulfilling. Helping others is on your agenda in order to give away what God has given you. Know what? God did for you at times what you couldn't do for yourself. I look forward to your post as I met you when you first came here and disclosed your problem. It's been a blessing to have known you and to see you grow.
Remember, It is Him that lives in us and who loves us so much that all we have to do is surrender to Him daily. Not all days are easy, but they are easier sober than if we are drinking. Amen? Luv ya and GBU my friend. Real.

Seriously though... Sylvia you're in my prayers for health and wellness. Congratulations on 5 months sober you sure deserved your sundae!

Anything chocolate is fine with me. But I did see a guy on the Food channel eating chocoate covered bugs. Don't think I could do that!
