something i wanted to share
I was talking with a friend this morning and she started crying upset over things in her past. While talking she said she knew she wasn't supposed to question God. My response to her was i kinda thought God was ok with us questioning (as long as we're able to resolve it) as opposed to some weak follower that He wanted people full of passion>
Well, later this evening I was thinking about this when it suddenly occured to me. God tests us and purifies us. Even if we don't understand the reason behind it, after all we are soldiers. In war, soldiers experience many things good and bad, and it dawned on me. If we are soldiers, should we expect any less?
Just some thoughts I wanted to share!

I was going to post this somewhere and it seems like it fits here goldie.
This morning, the hospital I volunteer at had an appreciation breakfast for us Spiritual Careworkers and Eucharstic Ministers. They had a Christmas grab bag where if you liked something someone else had, you could take it. I liked the look of one package but since I was going to be one of the last people up, someone else took it. It was a book, Footprints that was a daily inspirational journal. The woman next to me was mentioning that I was eyeing the book and so was she. So along the line, another woman who got a keychain took the Footprints book. The woman next to me kept the gift she got.
I picked a little, bright pink notepad with a really cute little pen combo. It was something that I really liked, something I could use, and BRIGHT pink, my favorite color lately. I said I really, really like it but I am going to trade and took the Footprints book... and immediately gave it to the original woman who had it. She looked so sad that she lost it that I really felt like I should and I believe God was testing me with that cute little pink notepad.
The original woman looked close to tears and hugged me and thanked me. I was glad I did it, even if the other woman was mad I took it away.
BUT, I found myself talking to others about the fact that I gave up that little pink pad so the woman could have the Footprints.
I still have a bit of a problem with pride.
Like you said goldie, God tests us and purifies us.
