Praise/Answered Prayer!
PRAISE THE LORD, FOR HIS MERCY ENDURETH FOREVER!
Many of you know that my husband, Carl, went in for by-pass surgery on Dec 16. His dr was optomistic and said he had only .1% of any problems arising.
We went to the hospital at 5AM. Didn't leave unti 7:30AM. Surgery was to be 4 - 5hrs. Dr said he wouldn't stop bleeding and he had to call another dr to help. And then they had problems weaning him off the by-pass machine. His bp and surgar readings were all over the map for the 5 days he was in CCU. On Dec 22, he was released to intermediate care.
Two days later, he was told he could go home on Christmas Eve! No rehab, no nothin'. (Except for a mentally impared wife who was terrified! Bi-polar, panic attacks, short term memory loss, fibro...)
Carl told me yesterday that before he was discharged, the dr came in and told him: the bleeding was not stopping and they were doing everything they could - and then, just suddenly, it stopped! The dr had never seen anything like it. No gradual ceasing, just stopped! He said he could have lost Carl.
Carl told the dr that God was guiding his hand. Things like that just don't happen, when there is no reason for them to, unless God takes control.
Carl asked the dr if he was a Christian. Dr said he was. But when Carl asked him if he believed in miracles, he was nonpulsed!
Praise God, Carl is still here. He must have a reason for that!
And thank you to all of you who were praying for us. Please continue, as we still need your prayers to get through this. Would you please pray for me, that I could do the job I was made to do! (I'm a retired private caregiver, and this should be right up my alley!)
In Jesus, amen

Yes, please, keep me in your continued prayers!
Right now I'm having a panic attack! You can't give CPR, if necessary, to an open heart patient!
I know God is in control, but my mind is not working right just now.
Thank you, In Jesus Name

Thank you for your continuing prayers, everyone!
Carl saw his pcp on the Mon before New Years. He had a swollen foot, but the dr didn't think it was serious. Come New Year's Eve and Carl's foot is still swollen. I just had a feeling he should see the dr; dr sent him to ER that night.
Turned out he has a blood clot in his lung. They tested and treated him, sending him home on New Years Day. He was given home med which involves injections. The medication retails at $1,900.00!
Carl applied for Medicare this year, a year early. He was laid off of his job in Sept. Medicare and a plan called Extra Help paid all of the cost of the medication except for $8.50! If he hadn't applied for Medicare early, and had still been working, we'd have been up a crick without a paddle!
He's home, feeling better. Praise God for His watch care over us...He knows the end from the beginning, and sometimes something that seems to be a negative becomes a positive under certain circumstances!
