When your children say
to you, "What do you
mean by this service?"
...you shall say, "It is
the Passover
__Exodus 12:26-27

The movie Night at the Museum portrays the humorous experiences of a security guard at a natural history museum. The excitement begins for him when the displays come to life at night.
Inspired by this movie, directors off a real museum created a similar experience. The staff portrayed historic figures such as knights in armor, Victorian ladies, and Egyptian royalty. When children arrived at the museum, they were told that the people in the exhibits had come alive and needed to be led back to their proper place. As the children responded, history came alive for them.
Children need not be bored by history. This is especially true of Bible stories. Take Moses, for example. He escaped death as a child, was educated as a prince, worked miracles, and received the Ten Commandments on tablets. What exciting story elements that teach children about God!
Biblical stories have been shared with children for generations--all the way back to the times of Exodus (ch.12-13) and Deuteronomy (ch.6). Moses described times when children were retold vital stories from Jewish history.
Why not set a time to read Bible stories to the children in your life? Then watch their excitement as biblical history comes alive! __DENNIS FISHER

****************Today's Bible Reading __ Exodus 13:14-16********
14 So it shall be, when
your son asks you in time
to come, saying, "What is
this?" that you shall say to
him, "By strength of hand
the LORD brought us out of
Egypt, out of the house of
bondage. 15 And it came to
pass, when Pharaoh was
stubborn about letting us
go, that the LORD killed all
the firstborn in the land of
Egypt, both the firstborn of
man and the firstborn of
beast. Therefore I sacrifice
to the LORD all males that
open the womb, but all the
firstborn of my sons I
redeem." 16 It shall be as a
sign on your hand and as
frontlets between your eyes,
for by strength of hand the
LORD brought us out of
Egypt.

Today's Bible reading is a description of part of the Feast of
Unleavened Bread (or Passover). It describes the tiMe each year
when the people of Israel would remember and review God's
deliverance of them from bondage in Egypt. It was to remind them
of the rescue of the firstborn of Israel by the strong hand of God, and to reaffirm commitment to Him. Passover is the oldest of Israel's
great feasts and, according to Paul, it finds its ultimate fulfillment in
"Christ, our Passover" (1 Cor. 5:7). __BILL CROWDER

Yes, so true...
By taking time at an early age, to introduce children to His truth, their relationship with Him grows stronger. If rooted early in the life, when trials come later they will return to the one constant they know they can depend on. This is true for me at least, my beliefs began young at a time when pure truth didn't require proof.
Cimi, thank you for sharing today!
Peace and Luv in Christ,
