Christianity Oasis Forum

This forum is for those souls 18 years and older who are dealing with some type of addictive behavior whether it be from alcohol, drugs, overeating, fear, worry, sex, etc. Only with help and guidance from God can we ever hope to overcome these addictions. What is impossible for us to do IS POSSIBLE with God. Friends and family of those stricken with addictions are welcome to share as this problem affects more than just the soul entangled in its web.

Weeds

One of the questions I am asked most often is When will the pain end?
My resolution for today, next month, and years to come is to be further from the world and closer to the Word.

Yes I believe that the words do hurt.... and yes I believe that there comes a point and time where we have to say enough...
But
I also believe that when the words are being said that we in our human nature take them personal and let the hurt set in and hurt us even more. I believe that is why when the words are spoken we should say I forgive and lay them at the feet of Jesus and let Him begin to heal the wounds that the others have caused.
I realize that that seems to be easier said than done....but you are hurting and you need to trust someone to give those words too...so what have you got to loose if you talk to Jesus about that? We risk talking to others and getting hurt even more by what they say...so is the risk of getting hurt more worth it....or is the risk of taking a baby step and trusting our Father who loves us unconditionally worth it? What chance are you willing to take? Don't get me wrong....we all need friends to confide in.....but Jesus wants to hear us also.
You are all in my prayers
Love you guys

You are welcome, 55259 and angeltears. *hug*

I have always encouraged people in this forum to forgive and move forward. Dwelling on issues keeps us down and will separate us from God. Unforgiveness will do the same.

This post is meant to encourage everyone to look deeper into their triggers, so you can pull those nasty lil weeds out and move forward. I share my moments of self-discovery as they come along.

It is also meant to encourage others to be kind and loving with our hearts and words, as we do not know what others are going through.

God bless and protect everyone.

Love you all very much,

flute

And that is just what it did. :)

Sooooooooooooooo we gonna pull weeds?
Got my gardening gloves on.
Thing is, when I'm ready to work, they want to hide!
*angel7* Sorrow looks back, Worry looks around, But faith looks up! Live simply, love generously, care deeply, speak kindly and trust in our Creator who loves us.
