Washington, D.C. - On September 25th

Postby morningrain » Tue Sep 01, 2009 5:41 pm

This News alert came in my email found it quite interesting and how it relates to the endtimes. Thought i'd share it here.....

Washington, D.C. - On September 25th there will be a national prayer gathering of Muslims on the west front of the U.S. Capitol Building. They are expecting at least 50,000 to attend from mosques all across America. They say that they want America to see how they pray!

A permit for this gathering was issued by Capitol Hill Police on July 28th. They will gather to pray from 4:00 AM until 7:00 PM.
The gathering will take place by the site where U.S. Presidents have been inaugurated since 1981. The organizers say that it was Obama's inauguration speech in January and his speech broadcast from Egypt in June that gave them the idea for this prayer gathering on Capitol Hill.

They have a wesite set up for this event. The site features a logo with a red, white and blue hand shaking a light brown hand with the words to the preamble to the Constitution and a page of Arabic text in the background.

It is not yet known who will lead their main prayer service at 1:00 PM nor is it yet known who will preach the sermon. However, they have been working dilgently to raise money to televise the event.

I am disgusted.

We can't teach Creation in our children's schools; are not allowed to pray in schools; can no longer use the name Jesus Christ publicly, for fear of offending non-believers; the U.S. Constitution, which was based upon Christian principles, might as well just be a crumbled wad of paper that has no meaning nowadays; and now this.

Muslims are having a national day of prayer on the Capitol building?? Wow...can Christians have a national day of prayer on the Capitol building too? Can we get up there and sing hymns, raise our hands in praise, include Jesus' Name in our spoken prayers?

This is just too crazy...I think I'm losing my marbles. I have to get a little silly-crazy, otherwise I would be in a rage over this little tid-bit of news. Thanks for sharing...I do appreciate it. Just doesn't make any sense to me. And I'm sure it has everything to do with the end-times, but I do not ponder on that aspect of it. What is to be, will be.

Hi smalltowngirl, nice to meet you.

Yep understand exactly what you mean there and you're right what is to be, will be. Its more understanding whats going on that none of us is taken by surprise and gives Christians a chance to come together in prayer in asking God together where ever we may be for His Will to be done here on earth as it is in Heaven. Also gives us an understanding that we are drawing closer to that great Day of the Lord for it is at hand. In turn gives us the understanding and opportunity to keep each other in prayer for one another for the times we are living in. It gives us a chance to be called to prayer.

Again nice to meet you, Lord Bless!

Well, I just happen to be in Washington D. C. on this day. Wonder if I might get to witness to someone in my hotel...wouldn't that be awesome?

Wooohooo, God's will be done....think I might get to fish....

Hey Angeltears, and Skrubby, and Mlg...

I want to apologize for my little outburst on this subject. As you can see, I am not very far along in my spiritual walk as I should be; i.e. not be very loving towards the lost...especially those of a different faith. Thank goodness there are lovely people like you on here to subtly point out my errors to me!

I just get upset when I think about how much America has trampled on God...and anything to do with Him. It is sad and frustrating. Hopefully, I will get to the point where I can love those whom I consider to be my enemies.

Thanks all for pointing out my not-so-righteous anger *Whistle*

No problem Smalltowngirl. Remember God sent His Son into the World to not to codemn the world, but that the world through him might be saved (John 3:16-17) Then remeber when Jesus was on the cross he said to the Father, "Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do."

And that is so true. I look around and read all this stuff that's happening through the world and my heart drops and think so many haven't a clue what they are doing. Each of us before coming to Christ did not know any better at what we were doing. We never know when we meet a nonbeliever if they just might be the next Paul, or the next Peter, or the next Scrubby, or the next smalltowngirl or next angeltears.

Just my thoughts

Blessings to you today

Update

This is from Joel Rosenberg

Islamic leaders predicted 50,000 Muslims would arrive on Capitol Hill today to provide a show of Islamic solidarity. It didn't quite turn out that way.

Less than 3,000 Muslims showed up, according to the Washington Post and other eyewitnesses. And those who did got more than they had bargained for. The followers of Muhammad came for a day of prayer and Islamic sermons, which they got. But they also found dozens of followers of Jesus Christ some of them evangelicals from from Arab countries eager to share the gospel with them and pray for them to find the love and forgiveness found in the Bible.

Our church prepared 2,000 packets to be given out to Muslims at the end of the event,
