Broccoli Slaw

Postby Sassy3 » Tue Sep 01, 2009 8:39 pm

Broccoli Cole Slaw
Luz Leigh's recipe (sassy3)

2 packages Ramen noodle soup mix 1/4 cup slivered almonds
3/4 stick oleo

Crush the noodles. I did this before opening the package. Melt oleo in heavy skillet over medium heat; stir in soup mix and almonds. Cook, stirring often, until golden brown. Remove from heat; cool.

Marinate:

3/4 cup canola oil 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
1/4 cup brown sugar 1 pkg of oriental seasoning
from noodles package

Mix together.

Empty 2 packages of broccoli slaw in large bowl. Pour marinate over
slaw; toss with hands. Easier. Toss in cooked/cooled noodles.
May add sunflower seeds and top with chopped green onion tops.

Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate. Better the 2nd day after marinate
has had time to soak through mixture.

ENJOY!!
