The power of Friendship

Postby pineapple-lump555 » Tue Aug 25, 2009 11:30 pm

This poem is dedicated to my best friend. It is called, "The Power Of Friendship". Some parts may be understand, as they are parts that only me and my best friend will know what they mean. But i hope u enjoy the rest anyway.

Board shorts, tee shirt, with shaggy blond hair
Freckles and a cheeky grin, he stands there
At first glance, i see a boy of average size
But when i stare into his cloudy blue eyes
I see troubled times
Full of bullies, of rumours, and lies
I see the tears that have fallen down his face
I see him trying to run,, away from the chase
The scene i see changes
and i see a girl
"Just try it" she says, and she does a wee twirl
Happy days of dancing and singing in the sun
though not every scene with the girl is one of fun
But always when she is around
The smile that was hiding becomes found
I see a car, driving down the road, the boy is inside
The girl remains standing, her tears she tries to hide
I see a church, the girl in the front row
Jesus my Jesus, only you know
What i want what i need
and i know that i am God's seed
The memories fade, and i remember the days
that have now faded to a fading haze
Of days when we jumped and sang in the sun
of playing in the rain, and exploring "just for fun"
Of days when we sat in tears, saying "we'll make it through"
My dear friend i will never forget you
For though we may be oceans apart
in my heart you will never be far
Even when i grow old
i Will still remember the memories, the stories untold
and though we can't get back the time
Our friendship never was a crime
Friendship is something that money cannot buy
I have learnt the hardest word to say is goodbye
And no matter what happens, or what anyone says,
our friendship is something that the world can never take.

I like that one.
I love to read the Bible, and go to the gazebo to talk with my friends. Thank you for having me.
