Every Sunday is Thanksgiving day for me.

Do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you , whom you have received from God? You are not your own you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body.

Confession of God's Word is one of the highest forms of prayer available to us. God says, as we speak His word, it will not return to Him empty. It will go where he says it will, and do what He says it will do (Isaiah 55:11)

And this is my prayer: that my love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that I may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ, Let me be filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ to the glory and praise of God.

Sadness and depression used to live with me. They were my constant companions, until I discovered they were choosing things for me I didn't want. My feelings were deciding how my life was. I learned the way to change my feelings was to change my thoughts.

God says to think on "whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable if anything is excellent or praiseworthy think about such things."
(Philippians 4:7-9)

"Today I make a decision to think about all the good things in my life: Jesus, family and friends who love me, the facts that I can talk, hear, and see. I have food to eat and clothes to wear, God takes care of me and protects me! All these things and many more are what I am grateful for. Best of all, I have eternal life in Jesus Christ....my heart is glad."

After the death of Moses, God told Joshua:

Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go."
Joshua 1:8-9 NIV

This is God's reassurance to Joshua, telling him that even during upsetting events, God would be with him and cause him to be successful. But Joshua had a part to do too...He had to keep God's Word, doing what it said to do, and he had to keep his faith in God by not being fearful or discouraged.

During the tough times in my life; physical trials, death of loved ones, divorce....I have tried to keep these words of God in mind. I do want to be succesful, in dealing with my health, my emotions, and my thoughts. I want to prosper in faith.
