God knows what He's doing
If we let Him.
At church today, the Pastor called for God's works, aka testimonies. So I'm sitting there thinking that since I haven't been able to drive, I really haven't had any testimony. Usually there would be a few that I can choose from.
Then I realize that I did have a testimony... the one I told you about last week. (I didn't have to mention that we went outside to pray. it didn't matter) So I get up and say that I was talking to a Christian woman and I was staring at her midsection and asked if she had a problem with her stomach...etc, etc. Then I started explaining that even though it is easier to talk to a Christian, when God gives you a Word of Knowledge, it means He wants that person healed. So don't be afraid to pray for that person.
The Pastor was standing next to me saying, "That's right, that's right"
At the end of the service, he called the prayer team forward so I went to him to tell him I had gotten a Word... someone had something with the right side of their neck. He encouraged me to give it, calling to everyone to listen.
Then my friend (who they don't know well) says she has a Word too and just calls it out. A woman in the middle of the chapel immediately claimed it. (hee hee, here's another funny part) So my friend (who is up front) immediately starts declaring it healed, commanding evil out and so on. She really gets into it; had her whole arm flying; getting louder and louder with each detailed declaration and point of her finger.
The Pastor stepped over and touched her arm to stop her.
She is pretty amazing; has a great call on her life, but it really wasn't her place to take the authority from the Pastor.
The Pastor also called a Word for eyes.
So there were three people claiming the neck, two claiming the knee and one eye. (actually, one woman claimed all three) They claimed it, were prayed for and left feeling better. (Woman my friend declared over was healed instantly.)
All because last week I was obedient and was able to let others know about the Word of Knowledge.
God knows what He is doing.

Now look at you my sister...stepping out in Faith...Holy Spirit leading the whole way. Wow wish I could have been there to witness this sis, but it's great to hear one share the Power of God at work. In all honesty we can't hold the Spirit back. When He wants to speak He will, and those that you were giving your testimony to tonight, knew that it was Him in you who was directing the words from your tongue. God's message was shared. He is so delighted that you chose to allow Him to use you as His vessel.
luv ya sis

Ha ha!!! Even more teaching opportunity!
I was talking to that friend and was able to explain things to her. I told her she was great when she started declaring that healing but she has to remember to give to the authority of the church and remember where she is.
She thought that because she had the word, that she was the only one who could pray for the healing. Her regular church encourages whoever gets the word does the prayer. There is no formal prayer team. If the Pastor feels something is off, he does a covering prayer.
I was able to explain to her that once the Word was said, anyone could pray for that person.
I was also able to tell her that I used to feel the same way, that I thought I could have said the prayer better but that leads to pride and God was able to bring me to humility. Now I don't care who prays, as long as the person is healed. I may sometimes tell this person something additional on the side but in a way that does not take away from the prayer.
She was able to understand this and accept it.
She said she spoke to the Pastor previous and asked the policy for praying because she remembered my situation and he said that for now, they would have prayer teams and would change that as God leads. (woo hoo) She wanted to shake the church up. I said, "Yes, YOU wanted to shake the church up. Be careful because that leads to pride."
I am so excited for her because I know she is going to be a big name for the Lord. Her heart, her gift, her love... I love watching her grow.
And am so glad that God is using me to help her with that growth.

Yes, she wanted to shake the church up...but the question was did want her to do this, or was she doing it to show that she could? It's wonderful that you are able to talk with her and help her to see that God has to be in control in all things, and that she should be doing these things for His glory only and not for her own self edification. Pride, pride...tsk tsk...it'll sure get ya in trouble if your not careful...hope she realizes this now that you have spoken with her.
Keep guiding your sisters in Christ.

She thanked me for all the guidance that I have given her over time...that the Lord is using me to help her. She told me today that she used to get annoyed with me when I would question her about things or tell her things.
I gotta tell you that there were times when I wanted to give up but God knew her and kept me hanging in there. And I would get sooo excited with every little breakthrough, even if someone other then me got her to understand it..
