VIRTUE
CHRISTIANITY OASIS HAS PROVIDED YOU WITH THIS VIRTUE STUDY. MOST HAVE HEARD OF VIRTUE BUT HAVE NO IDEA WHAT VIRTUE IS. LET US SEEK AND FIND THE TRUTH OF VIRTUE TOGETHER, SHALL WE?


This is just a lil tidbit for those who feel called to serve the Lord,

Ever felt strong enough to win over even the most stubborn soul for the Lord? You step out and talk with others and you share that Spiritual energy that you feel within and actually watch them come alive before your very eyes? You walk away feeling really great and like you have served your Lord well. You crawl in bed and drift off to sleep in peace.

But, then the next day ... You awake and feel weak and vulnerable.

WHY is that?

Jesus revealed this TRUTH ...


Luke 6:18-19
And they that were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed. And the whole multitude sought to touch him: for there went VIRTUE out of Him, and healed them all.


This VIRTUE is something WITHIN that others can tap into.

This is not only with those you are helping but also those you encounter who quench your spirit with their worldly words and deeds:


2 Peter 2:8
For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds


This can DRAIN your VIRTUE and you can actually FEEL it at times.


Mark 5:25-34
And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years, And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse, When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment. For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole. And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague. And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of Him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes? And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me? And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing. But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth. And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.


Notice that Jesus FELT this VIRTUE had been DRAINED from Him without HIS giving of it knowingly?

You see ... When you help others, VIRTUE leaves you that MUST be REFRESHED lest YOU be DRAINED of the VIRTUE and feel the void.

Like a stomach that cries out to be fed ...

It is no different than the body which needs to be refreshed with food and water as your regular activities DRAIN the nutrients ...

Your SOUL needs to be refreshed with SPIRITUAL food as well ...


Matthew 4:4
But He answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.


And LIVING Water ...


John 4:10
Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.


REFRESHING IS RENEWING ...


2 Corinthians 4:16
For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.


This REFRESHING or RENEWING must be done EVERY DAY ...

It is simple ... It is a Spiritual cup within that is filled and drained and needs to be refilled often to be able to prevent it from being emptied.

One also needs to actually POUR the cup into others as to refresh the cup often. Failure to do so will make your virtue become stale and grow stagnate, being of no value and having you feel worthless.

THAT is the aching within to ACT that many of you feel. Your cup is full but you do nothing and it just sits there ... USELESS.

So how does one REFRESH or RENEW the SOUL?

FEED your soul with:


PRAYER
COMMUNE WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT
READ BIBLE
FELLOWSHIP WITH FAITH FILLED CHRISTIANS
READ STUDIES
LISTEN TO CHRISTIAN MUSIC
WATCH SPIRITUAL MOVIE WITH HOLY MESSAGE



ANYTHING THAT REFILLS THE CUP WITH WHAT YOU WANT IN THERE.

Cuz ladies and gents ... If you do not CHOOSE to fill that cup ... There is an enemy of your soul that seeks to devour your soul ...


1 Peter 5:8
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:


And he has absolutely NO PROB filling your cup with things man dares not look upon.

Therefore ...

ESTABLISH THE HABIT OF THINKING GOOD THOUGHTS


Philippians 4:8
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, THINK on these things.



REFRESH AND RENEW THE SPIRITUAL GIFTS WITHIN ... AND THAT INCLUDES VIRTUE.


2 Peter 1:4-8
Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith VIRTUE ; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.


Choose to ACT and ...


Ephesians 4:23
Be renewed in the spirit of your mind;


AND ...


Colossians 3:10
Put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:

God is so good...and ever so faithful. This morning we were talking about having bad mornings...you know....we CON-vince ourselves that Mondays are bad?? by telling ourselves over and over that they are bad???? Every morning could be that way if we let the enemy tell us that and we give ear to it. We gotta focus on Him and His promises....this is what the Lord gave me today...see if He doesnt just confirm what He is sayin to you!!!! God is soooo good!!!

Psalms Chapter 91

1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.

Thanks Momof3, your teaching on virtue confirmed what I have been thinking, that it is a time to renew and refresh myself. The past few weeks have been so wonderful in the Lord and His Word, but yesterday, zilch! Time to refill the cup! Thank you so much for your love and obedience in the faith!

hiya saint I wanted to let ya know that I didnt write the study above, but the Holy Spirit did thru Christianity Oasis. It was that I too, have needed to go thru a few times in the last months..and im so thankful to our Lord for the renewing He gives. God bless you, bro.

awww Praise the Lord! if theres one thing ive been learning its this.....if the enemy isnt attacking, im not a threat to him. If im not being attacked in my thoughts and fears, im not doing what the Lord wants me to do!!
In His strength and protection, we move forward. In FAITH! knowing He is with us and has gone before and will not leave us stranded if we are in His will!

Let go....Let God.......He is more than able. Let Him renew and restore....taking all thoughts captive, casting down imaginations, giving Him glory, honor and praise in ALL things. Easy, no.....but!!! we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us...if we choose to have Faith in Him and His words. He is so awesome....and sees every single struggle we have. How will we choose to handle them? He is so faithful to us...are we to Him?
