need help and encouragement

Postby Tracy L » Sat Apr 25, 2009 11:46 am

Hi All,
I just need some help and encouragement to do the the right things in my life.
To make a long story short, I am trying to do things God's way now. I have lots of problems (most caused by my own stupid decisions) but I know God can help me get through them.
It is just so hard cuz the enemy is putting up roadblocks in every area in my life.
For instance, I have no job, no money and no health insurance and all anyone can tell me is to lie to the ppl here so they will help me. Well, I have to be honest, in the past I did that, but inside I felt horrible about it even though I would tell myself that everyone does it. I know that is horrible and I have prayed forgiveness. But I don't want to do that anymore. I believe I shouldn't have to break that commandment for God to help me with these problems. I have even told my own mom that I don't believe lying to these health program ppl is right. It is just so hard cuz every door to my help is closing in on me. Meanwhile, I wait on the Lord to come to my rescue.
Please stand with me so I won't give into the sins and that I will wait on Him and His perfect answer to these tough problems.
Thank you my friends,
Tracy

Tracy *hug* our enemy would have us take the easy way out. Instead of standing firm in our beliefs to do right and lean on God, when we have to wait. Often we get to the point that we think God isn't going to answer, so we decide to take things into our own hands, trying to do something. Usually things become worse when we do this, as we just mess everything up, and we miss a blessing from the Lord, because we chose to not wait for His way, but took our way. It's good to see you standing strong in your Faith, and knowing that He will make a way somehow.

My prayers are with you.

My thoughts and prayers are with you. I know it is tough and frustrating to be in your situation, because I have been there before. We just have to remember that God has a plan for each of us, and where we don't understand what it is right now he will see us through as long as we have faith in him. Keep your head up and pray to him everyday to show you and guide you in the direction he wants you to go.

Hi sister tracey :)

Aww what courage it takes to admit our sins. What healing it can bring to our lives. Thank You Jesus!

As I read your post, I reflected on the miracles of faith. See, if we are trying to bring about certain solutions on our own, especially when it involves going against the commandments of God, we are not living in faith. And tho it may provide for us in the short term, in the long run we may have denied ourselves a greater blessing that God wanted to bestow upon us, but could not cuz we chose to go against His Will for us.

Sister, i know you must be in a place of uncertainty and fear... but if you hold on, in Faith, and do not allow satan to distract or discourage you, God is faithful to you.

But you have to do your part, and He will do His. I am proud of you for saying no to the enemy's tricks.

Kinda reminds me of when Jesus used Truth against satan in the wilderness :)

I am standing with you for God's will to be done in your life. Love and blessings in Jesus name *hug5*

Matthew 6: 25-34

"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?

"And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

*ThisMuch* To all my sis's who agreed with me in this Faith issue. I believe the more I "practice" my faith that it will grow.
Sometimes it is hard though when your mind starts going nuts with worry. But I find comfort in the scriptures Matthew 6: 25-34

Each day has enough trouble of its own.:

Sometimes in the past when I have given into my flesh and done things my way even though they might work out I have to shut my conscience down and I hate doing that cuz I am sure God doesn't like my lack of faith. I am sure we have all done that and then regretted it, even the best of the old testament gave in so I know it is very hard. Sometimes you even get scoffed at for taking a stand but I feel better in my spirit when I obey.
And yes ljd, I too feel like I have follow through the cracks of society but we must remember our God is BIGGER than our worst probs.
You know I have said before that this is a wonderful site but I must reiterate it! We all are joined in this battle together and it is wonderful how we can all support each other to the end!
Love,
Tracy

Your right sis, we are all joined in this battle together. It's so important that we pray for one another, and lift up one another, and encourage one another. It takes faith sis, in this walk....great faith in the Lord that He has everything under His control.
