Not only are you a conduit for God sis, you are WILLING. Being willing is something that has to be there for us to accept our calling. God of course wants us to. Sorta like when God wanted you to begin ministering at the hospital..at first you weren't so willing, and He couldn't do anything through you that way, so He kept telling you until you finally heard Him and allowed Him to send you.

I'm glad you took time to do the study today, this will start your day out with the time that you need to work on making yourself better for His calls. As time continues onward sis, and you become more adapted to God's work, He's going to put new tasks in front of you and ask you to do more and more for Him. Just be willing when that time comes to step up to the new tasks even if they seem like a challenge.

Have a deLIGHTful day sis *piano* *Birdnotes*

Alot of people are afraid that they may be hearing from the enemy and not the Holy Spirit because they were not aware that it is possible that supernatural could come from good too. If more people bound the enemy, his demons and their own imagination in Jesus's name before talking to God, they would learn His voice and become more secure in the Holy Spirit. As time goes on, they will no longer need to bind the enemy because they will know His voice. John 10 my sheep know my voice (I have goats and believe me, they know my voice)

I have one friend that keeps saying she doesn't hear the Holy Spirit but that is because she keeps expecting to hear an audible voice. We will go through how she hears... thought, conscious, vision, dream, word in Bible, friends and people, a warm fuzzy feeling... She's getting better, saying the Holy Spirit told her something but will then go back to waiting to hear an audible voice or will asks advice from people who hear. Sigh... she'll get there.

Back to the Study. When I got to the part of Faith, Hope and Charity, I was confused. I couldn't remember ever reading that. Especially the greatest of these is Charity. So, I looked it up and MY Bible says:
1 Corth 13:13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and LOVE. But the greatest of these is love. (We are actually talking about this alot in my two churches and home study.)
I'm sorry but I don't know how you people read that King James version. I think that may have been one of the things that turned me off of Bible reading until my sister gave me my NIV teaching Bible.
Now that Book talks to me ;)

It's so good to see you learning sis. The greatest of these is Love. How beautiful love is. Love can surpass boundaries that we never thought could be broken. In fact, love can heal, it can replace, it can share, it can forgive, it can live. Love is just so awesome and the ways we can apply it in our calling, can truly reach souls. In fact, when we reach out to others with love, the more readily they are to accept us and hearing His word.

Keep working with your friend sis. Don't give up. She will get it in His time. Pray and ask the Holy Spirit to teach her. Another suggestion sis we have a Spirit of Truth study here as well, that is all about getting to know the Holy Spirit. You might want to share this with your friend.

luv ya sis

When I pray for people, God sometimes gives me Words of Knowledge or Wisdom for that person. It is wonderful to see the excitement when they receive these words, especially someone who isn't walking yet or at the beginning of their walk... and the ones who have been stuck for a while, that's the best. Then, then they either dedicate or rededicate themselves to Jesus. Or realize God loves them. Woo Hoo!! *Dancin*
Sometimes these words are seeds that aren't even meant for that person but for someone that they will have contact with and you will never know... but it's still sooo cool.
I like when God will send a person back with a testimony that will encourage me to continue, that I am on the right tract. That is so uplifting.

Isn't it amazing that Psychics and Mediums are accepted but if someone says that God told them to do something, they get a look like you are crazy?

I recently realized that Christianity, the way Jesus meant, was changed only 250 years after he left us. 1750 years is a long habit for people to break out of.

Break open that box. *knight*

It is so awesome when God gives a word.
When the word is accepted by the recepient it and they come back with a testimony it is so very awesome to be apart of that. *angelbounce*

There are those that won't accept it. That's when you just dust off your feet and move on.

Hold onto the memories of the ones God touched through you and let go, forgetting those who didn't receive the blessing God had for them.

God bless you deetu.

Enjoying your journey through the MCFC study. :)

deetu you are so right sis, there are lots of habits to break for sure, but I know that Jesus can break through the barriers that people have erected over all these years. There just have to be willing servants like us who are willing to continue getting out there and telling others about Jesus. I'm so proud of you sis, for wanting to reach out to others. He is so very worthy of the glory that He receives from just one person either coming to know Him or rededicating themselves to Him from our reaching out.

Hope your having a deLIGHTful day sis.

Ah judging... now that is something I still have a problem with. I will talk about someone to my sister or friend but usually it is to find an answer on how to help them. I know that is not slander or judging but I will sometimes drift off and have to be careful.
I find when my husband is judging someone and I join in. That has gotten a lot better and I have notice a slight change in him since I try hard to stop.

I ended up wandering around in the step 9 teachings. I came across this in God's Grace and believe it.
As time passes, you will find that you begin to make the right choices, out of love.. not fear of punishment.
And it becomes easier and easier. That was what I was trying to explain to my friend about dying to ones self.

ps found the head smacking smiley *Doh*

rofl deetu glad you found that smilie sis rofl

You know judging others can sneak up on us at times. We might see someone doing something or saying something that just makes us want to cringe, and instead of saying a prayer in love for them we try and run away from them as quickly as possibly. Then we might go and tell another about what we saw in them and they might make a comment and before ya know wham we have judged. Sneaky, sneaky enemy we are fighting...so important to suit up in our armor of God daily. Therefore when the enemy tries one of these sneak attacks, we can say oh no buddy been there done that before.

Sis I am really enjoying walking this journey with you. What a blessing. So glad you are sharing.

I wrote a story then erased it because I realized I was judging. So lets just say that I continued to help this person with little thoughts, some hugs and being there for her even when at times she annoyed me.
When I prayed, asking how I could help her along, God told me to just be there for her. Guess He knows best because her understanding is growing.

I went to the animal auction today to see if I could find someone to buy my goats. (they are my pets so I want them to get good homes) A lot of the people there are old farmers that look at me as a pretty young woman (younger then them for sure, hee hee oops, judging) Anyway, when someone would ask why I was getting out of goats, I would say, "I don't know, it's about time" I was hesitant to say God told me.
One person asked me what I was going to do with myself without the goats. I said that I could go to Christian conferences without having to worry about my husband taking care of the goats.
Another person I told I was born again and felt like God wanted me to sell them so I will be free to do other things.
But I didn't go around saying, "God told me to sell them" When I got home and thought about it, I was wondering if I was ashamed of God (enemy working there)

I do need to get over my fear of man. It's funny because I really don't care what these farmers think. I have prayed for a couple of them in the past. And one guy knows not to swear around me. But it's still not easy for me to say God told me to.

When I volunteer at the hospital, I am a Spiritual Caregiver, I pray for people, that is what I do, so it is so easy to say there.
I guess I have become cautious because of my hard times in the first year of my walk.
Hee hee, my new pastor noticed this in me and said we will break me out of it.

You know sis, each of us are witnesses for God in different ways. Some are very vocal and loud when it comes to sharing their belief in Christ. Others, are very quiet and speak little but you can just feel the presence of the Holy Spirit when you are around these people. So as to why you didn't just say, cuz God told me too. Maybe God knew that these people might not be receptive to hearing that, so He didn't want you to say that. But the fact that you did give God the glory by saying this would allow you more time for things for Him, shows that you were thinking of God. This alone was a testimony to these farmers.

As for judging, it's good that you caught yourself and were able to see the story you had written for what it was. We all have a tendency at times to judge and then we don't even realize what we have done. When you can catch what you have done and correct it, shows that God is moving in your life and He is showing you things to improve upon.

Hope you have a deLIGHTful day sis *piano* *Birdnotes*

((ljd)) You put what I was feeling into perspective exactly.

((mlg)) For reinforcing what ljd said.

I knew it was the enemy trying to work at me but you both helped me understand what and why. Sigh... that was easy. *Buddy*
thank you
