Wow, here lately, my life reads like a soap opera. So much sadness surrounds me and family members. Bad news just keeps piling up higher and higher. I left work today cuz was overwhelmed. I know God is with me and helps me thru, just sometimes I feel so alone. I know that the enemy. Anyone got suggestions as to wat has helped them when they get to where they feel alone? Like the sadness will swallow u up. wat do u do?
thanks

Hi, goldie. I know how you are feeling. It gets so overwhelming and confusing.

There are lots of things I use. They all point me back to the Lord and His love.

PRAY, Come here to Oasis in chat, ;) read the bible (Psalms are good or the gospels!), listen to Christian music, watch Christian movies, read Christian books, fellowship with Christians....anything to get your focus off the problems and back onto Christ.

A really cool thing I've learned to do is start a conversation with the Holy Spirit. It's like praying, but a lil different. Talk to Him just like you would talk to anybody. Tell Him everything and ask Him to give you comfort and peace. He really is there for you, goldie. He will show you too, if you listen.

Goldie, please know you aren't alone. God is here for you and so are we. He works through us so we can help you. We really do care about you.

Love you, goldie. God bless you with the peace, love and joy of Jesus.

*hug*

It does seem like bad things happen in bunches, doesn't it? We have to remember, that though we have trials and sorrows, Jesus has overcome the world (and all it's trials and sorrows). Though we may feel over-burdened, Jesus has also offered to carry those things fr us.

We'll still have the feelings, but no feelings can take away the promise that the Joy of what Jesus has done for us is the strength we lean on in these times.

Flutie is so right, immersing yourself in Him is the answer. The emotions you have right now need to be given to God....it's how to put them under His will, so that they don't overwhelm you.

You're strong and have such clear knowledge of Him Goldie.....God is on your side, and as flute also said, we all love and support you. This time will pass, praise God He is there through it all.

Hugs, Kim
