Day 3-OMGoodness The Hard Parts
I really think Im on day 4,or supposed to be. But this is hard, letting the lord forgive and forgiving myself. I am tuff on myself. I am currently having a disscussion with my pastor and why I have decided to leave the church and find another one that I can me and my son can feel welcomed in.(fit in). I carry withmy things that I can't forgive myself for andit is affecting my ability to stay at this current church.
Why do I hold on to beliefs that should be gone?It doens't make any sence to me at all.

Forgiving ourselves is a very difficult step. Especially when we think about what all we have done to get us where we are today....but as we know Jesus has forgiven us, and He loves us so much. Jesus wants you to forgive you...and you need to let go so that you can heal. As long as you continue to allow the unforgiveness to hold you back, you can't truly heal. There is hope in Jesus...set your eyes on Him. You can do this...reach out to Him sis, He's calling to you...He says come closer my child and let's talk.
Praying for you sis.
luv ya

Hey Scoots. I know how you feel. Our old church was clickish. If you were'nt a doctor, lawyer, engineer, computer guy, buisness owner, or in politics you got overlooked. I was involved with a few things there and all at once it stopped. It was almost like my wife and I were not there. And she had been going there for years. After 2 months at our new church, they send cards and letters here when the wife is sick and can't make it to service with me. They have started calling me Brother Tim. That never happened to us at the old church. It's also a smaller comgregation. I like it, no wait, I love it there. We are still getting to know them , but all in all, it has been uplifting for us both. You have to let His Spirit be your guide in this. Only He can help you let go of what you are holding on to. Trust me on this. He helped me. I know He will help you.
Hang in there sis!!!

You can do this.
I know it's hard.
But it is so important.
With practice it comes easier.
God loves you enough to die for those sins.
Let him take them off your shoulders.
God bless you
Prayers for you along this path.

Sorrow looks back, Worry looks around, But faith looks up! Live simply, love generously, care deeply, speak kindly and trust in our Creator who loves us.

Hi Scootles,
I sure feel and can relate to your frustration. Is it possible, Sis, that you are looking at your life and history, focusing on all of those screw ups (that each and every one of us has!!), and trying to figure out how Jesus can possibly fit into all of that destruction and chaos?? That's sure how I approached it for the longest time. But that, my dear, is backwards!
Instead of us seeing the mess we've made and trying to fit our Lord into OUR creation (of a mess!), we need to start instead with creation as HE made it! Perfect, beautiful, balanced, orderly.
Now, we can certainly seem to make a mess of all that through our poor choices, but the great news is that God never lets go of HIS creation. He loves us enough to let us go our on wanderings, but HE NEVER LETS GO!!
My point is that when we start with our mess, it stays a mess. When we realize that God and HIS power are so infinitely more than our ability to mess things us, we are starting from that rock-solid foundation, and we're much more open to allowing HIM to show us the way to wholeness and healing. He knows we belong with Him, and He wants us there. In fact, He sent His Son to earth to ensure we'd never be separated from Him, regardless of our mess.
Start with HIM, Scootles, not yourself. The Path becomes much more clear.
Hang in there, Scootles. His love really can move mountains.

hey scootles I just wanted to add a lil to whats already been said here....we have an enemy who likes to keep us in bondage..not only in the bondage of sin, but the bondage of condemnation for those sins. That condemnation keeps us from forgiving ourselves. I was struggling with something i had done years ago...and thought it was the worst thing in the world anyone could do and for years it ate away at me. (like a cancer)
One night in prayer..and i know this is gonna sound harsh, but it truly wasn't, it was full of peace and love, the Lord asked me...if I, your God, have forgiven you, why do you still hold on to it? Is your sin bigger than My mercy?
We have to remember that Jesus came for the sinners. The righteous didnt need to be saved, but the sinners. That was the whole point in His dying on the cross for us. Believe you are forgiven, sis. Trust that when He says you are forgiven, you are and walk anew. He loves you no matter what you have done and doesnt remember your sins anymore...
I know i'd be buried under Satan's place if not for God's mercy. And remember that no sin is greater than any other. love you and Jesus loves you more.
love ya
in Jesus,
