Melissa I'm so glad to see you beginning the steps again. Woohoo sis, I know you've got so much going on but you truly do need to finish the steps this time. You need Hope and healing in your life. Right now you turn to the physical comforts in life that are but temporary and fleeting...the sex and the drugs. If you will but reach to Jesus and allow Him to be your comforter then maybe you will begin to feel the peace you so desperately are seeking in your life.

You've got a past that is really bringing you down, and that's because Satan is using your past against you. He is taking it and throwing it in your face every chance he gets. In reality, Jesus can set you free from your past, where the past is no longer a weapon Satan can use. Your past can become the basis of what you find Joy and Happiness on. Knowing that Jesus has forgiven you of your past. Yes it's hard to forgive ourselves of our past and the things we do even now. We fall down, we will fall down but we have to get up.

Take your relationship with the Lord to the closest you can get. God wants to be your best friend, and He wants to help you. Yes Satan is going to be right there, trying to tear you away from God, but that's why you have to fight the good fight. Don't give up. Jesus won't give up on you. He loves you.

Praying for you sis.

luv ya *hug*

I am praying Melissa.
As you walk through these steps you will see bits of the old Melissa coming back.
I know the path can be so very difficult.
Know it's the good to come that Satan is trying to keep you from.
He wants to lead you in the sinful things that will only harm you.

God is there. God is faithful. He will help you through this.

God bless you on this path.
I will be praying as I watch as God transform you into not the old Melissa, but a better than the old Melissa. :)

luv ya.

Hi Melissa,

Please know that the people here DO GET the crushing burden you feel, we really do. We are not trying to suggest it is not as huge as it seems to you.

But guess what? Your Lord is infinitely HUGER!!! (Is that a word?? *laughter* )

You struggle that turning to God only seems to bring satan more aggressively. I think you're right, cuz I've experienced it myself. But satan only "stands down" in the other times because he has you where he wants you -- ignoring God.

Perhaps some of your frustration is that you are telling God how to make your life better (husband, kids, etc.). That very well may be HIS plan for you, but we don't use HIM to get what we want! We devote ourselves to Him in order to discover what HE WANTS FOR US because, ultimaely, that is the only thing that will bring peace to our soul. We look for that peace in things like drugs and alcohol but, truly, there's only one place to find it -- HIM!!

Like Peter, tell the devil "Get outta here, satan!" and turn to God. Make no demands; don't have a wish list. Just lay yourself wholly at the foot of the cross. Ask Jesus to give you strength; ask Him to be your refuge from satan; and LET HIM TAKE IT FROM THERE.

Feel His Love, Melissa. Feel His comfort. Feel His strength. Feel His security.

He has a glorious path ahead for you, if you let Him lead you instead of you trying to lead Him.

God bless you, Melissa. Let go and let God, Sister!!

Aww melissa :) Its wonderful to see you back on the path sis.

Dont think you are alone on the forgiveness aspect. Many struggle with this, and it is not an easy thing.

And it is obvious why it is difficult sometimes. Cuz forgiveness is one of the most important decisions we can make, as it frees us from our past, and allows us to move into the future God has planned for us.

The enemy knows this, and will do all he can to prevent us from having this abundant life, including tempting us with thoughts that tell us that we cannot forgive, or that we ourselves cannot be forgiven by God for what we have done in our past.

They are lies. And we must speak the Truth over them.

There may never be a time when we FEEL to forgive. If we go on emotions, as we tend to do most times, we will keep waiting till we feel we are ready to forgive. This is a trap.

We cannot rely on what we feel, but on what we KNOW. And that is that with God all things are possible, and that Jesus calls us to forgive All, as many times as we would like to be forgiven, and that God gave His only Son so that by His blood we are washed free from our sins.

Go on what you KNOW is TRUTH. The Word of God is Truth.

Keep pushing forward Melissa. This path will lead you to what and who you truly seek. Do not keep turning your head back to look at what was. It cannot be changed. Look ahead, cuz those things have led you to where you are now, to where you are now seeking the only ONE who can fill the void and bring the eternal and unfailing love that you seek.

Look to your future in Him now.
