Share the Love skrubby, that for sure is what life's all about. One of the reasons God has put us here, to pass on the Love.
I think sometimes skrubby one of th hardest things we encounter is watching a lost soul, falling into that ravine, and knowing they aren't hearing a word we are saying to them. That in turn is why we have to pray for them, and continue to love them. As we know there is a better way and ONE who can reach them.
Your doing so great on the steps skrubby. Keep on the path.
Have a deLIGHTful evening.
luv ya

Amen Skrubby, Now I have a secret for you. Know what's neater than having something remind you of Jesus? Reminding someone else of Jesus, and not realizing it. Similiar to the bumper stickers you speak of. I have to share with you something about me. Many days I will turn on the Chrisitainity Oasis CD player in my office. It's endless music with no commercials. Today my secretary walked in my office and she says to me, oh you have your music on and she then smiled. Not really realizing it when I turned it on as usual, that I would bring joy and a smile to someone else's face by sharing His music with them.
So thanks to Christianity Oasis, not only are you accepted as you are, they provide the possibilites to share Jesus with another through His wonderful ministry.

Amen Tracy, interesting how you mention the Bible beating of unsaved people. I sit back and watch people do this and it breaks my heart. Instead of reaching out in love and showing the lost souls the Way, they want to argue with those lost souls about why they are wrong. It's almost like a power trip kind of thing or something. I'm not really sure, but either way it is sad, when all it takes is subtle sharing, to reach a distant soul.

Skrubby, Dude, this string of posts is GREAT!!
I've been sitting in an airport waiting for a plane and reading through each and every one back to the very first day. Bless you all for such inspiration!!
A couple of thoughts:
First, you, Skrubby, need to consider screenwriting for the next iteration of "The Office" sitcom -- Cheryl the annoying secretary, Paul the new office guy spilling coffee, . . . this is REALLY good stuff!! Ok, sorry for that digression, but couldn't help myself!
Second, as uplifting and inspiring as each and every post is, the chain demonstrates that the Oasis remains waaaayyyy too dominated by women!! Love ya -- one and all -- ladies, but we gotta get more men here! Help me, my Brothers!!
Ok, joking aside, your sharing, insights, jokes, and analogies are so meaningful for me, Skrubbster. I don't know your background or the trials you've very obviously endured. But at 24/25 years, you're wise beyond your years.
Reading, though, you made me mindful of one of my greatest struggles -- the sin of "self-sufficiency." Even with the best and most blessed of intentions, we start forging out ahead of the one and only -- our true Savior. We think we're marching in His name, but we take our eyes off Him. This continues to be a huge problem for me, and leads me astray in many, many ways . . . unfortunately.
You talked about falling into that proverbial revine. Rest assured, my friend, our enemy has revines we can't even picture or imagine ahead of us. Our task now is to strengthen and establish our understanding of and faith in Him so invincibly, that even the scariest of revines is dismissed by finding our refuge in Him . . . IN HIM!!
You have blessed me, Brother, and I am so grateful. As you continue the steps and grow in Him, ask Him what he has next for you. Avoiding our prior pitfalls is FANTASTIC, but our walk on the path is about our relationship with Him. And that is an EVER EXPANDING opportunity. It is not a destination, but a journey. A glorious, joy-filled one that will always challenge us to grow more and more in and like Christ. What a blessed endeavor!
God bless you, Brother.

skrubby the Holy Spirit, Praise God for sending Him to live in us. You know Jesus said that He had to go so that we could receive the Spirit, and for that I'm truly thankful. There's nothing like God in us through the Spirit
Faith now that's where we find hope. That's were we find the words fight the good fight of Faith. And when you have Faith, wow the things that will happen, cuz you believe.
Glad to see you learning skrubby. This has been a great ride to watch you on.
luv ya

Instead of that danger sign skrubby, don't you sometimes wish He would have put up a road block instead, especially after the fall? But ultimately He leaves us a choice. The choice to take the fall or not. It's just a blessing that there's grace when we do decide to take the fall. He picks us up and dusts us off and gives us a hug, and says try to do better next time my child, and don't forget I love ya. Thank you Lord for your mercy.
Skrubby it has been so exciting watching you along this journey. You have learned so much about who you want Him to be in you. And your already beginning to put some of that into use, and allowing Him to guide your path.
Take care and luv ya

Skrubbers,
That was a great analogy of our Lords mercy and grace. He knows we are but dust. And although we have the wonderful Holy Spirit in us that sends those warnings (right after I received Christ my warnings were like sirens roaring) sometimes, unfortunately, for different reasons we ignore them. I have done that in my past and let me tell you the sirens were screaming STOP , DON"T DO THAT!!! My conscience would literally keep on me but I, at the time, was going through such emotional pain and physical pain that I ignored the signals and as you could imagine, crashed and burned in my life and in the process hurt many many ppl. It has taken me yrs to forgive myself for taking that leap into that particular pit. BUT this is where I found my Jesus was still my Savior! He was still there with arms stretched out BUT I guess I was so prideful that I thought I was the worst sinner in the whole world for what I had done. Now, granted God HATES sin but I concentrated sooo much on what I had done that I neglected to see that His mercy and grace is sooooo much more than our sin. But I must say His chastisement was harsh and upon me as such it should have been since He DOES NOT tolerate sin. My cousin and I were talking about what I had done when I was "reaping what I had sown" and she said that God was given me a "spanking" so to speak. Wheeewww, I didn't like that spanking for sure! And at one point I had actually thought I had blown it for good and thought about throwing in the towel for fear God had given up on me and had no use for me BUT now I don't think that is so or I wouldn't have received such chastisement from Him and returned to Him. That is what others have told me anyhow. Sooooo, I should feel like His Child still since He did chastise me, I hope that makes sense. I am just hard on myself now cuz I WANT to do much better and NOT fall into that pit again. And praise God I have found such a good place and good group of Christian friends on here to help me. I love you all!
