Goldie, glad to see you back today to do step 9. As far as lifestyle changes, I think I add new things continually. I'll get something under control that I felt the need to work on, and then I'll find something else I think needs work. So take each change you would like to see in yourself and work on them one at a time.

As for the application you turned in for the job in your area, may God's will be done. I read what you wrote about this sis, and the fact that you stated that whether you get the job or not, you know that it's the Lord's will and for that you have to accept His will. This shows growth sis, yes sometimes when the Lord says no to something we want it does hurt, but in reality He only has our best interest at Heart...His glory!

Keep doing the steps goldie, your doing great!!!

luv ya

Stone 10 Prayer. It has occurred to me that i have not completed the study once a day as i should i would go a couple days and somehow i feel as if i have missed some of the good i would have gotten out of this study. I have noticed when i spend time in the Word and in spiritual readings like the big stones were about and then i havent followed thru on the lifestyle changes. I am convicted of these things and I have found that if i slide just one day, that i lose so much in that one day. I feel less who God would have me be. I havent searched enuf or prayed enuf or paid enuf attention to see what God wants for me to do. I love the reminders that were mentioned. It has renewed my desire to do what the Lord would have me to do. I have to be active in this process. I have to be accountable and follow through with the accountability log. I was all on fire when i got to that part and did good for a couple days and life felt so much better, i felt more peace; but i slipped and now I am starting over again. I havent made any of the lifestyle changes i said i wanted. Well, i did go to the grocery store today and bought some healthier items so if i just eat at home, and take my lunch that would be a good step in the direction. I am disgusted by the cigarettes, but i dont stop. God is with me, I know. Right now, I just feel far away from what I should be doing. So, back to the steps.

That's it sis... just get right back up and get to it :) We all at times get away from the plan... HIS plan... and the process of renewing our minds but remember we may have had years of conditioning in man's world to other priorities, behaviors and habits. You're heading in the right direction, Goldielocks! And we are all here for you as well...

Keep up the good fight, and thanks for sharing your journey with me and others *saint*

golidie my sister, get up and get back to it. The Lord is definitely our peace and happiness. You know the days you don't seek Him, there is a void I'm sure that you feel, just like any of us do. Our days do have to be started with the Lord. If you do this, then your steps on the pathway that He is building for you, will be sure-footed. Don't mean you might not stumble, but He will be there to catch you, if your placing Him first.

As for the smoking my sister, keep working at quitting. Glad you bought some healthy stuff at the grocery store. This is wonderful to here. Keep striving to be what God would have you to be sis.

awww ty susi and mlg for the encouragement. Stone 12 Surrender.. boy that one is a biggie. I struggle with that. Not just probs but daily life stuff, such as the smoking and in work (they are tasting nastier and nastier, God is a working on me yay!) I have much to surrender and i think its a matter of surrendering every day, letting God in and listening to Him; something I am not always good at doing. I tend to snatch things back. Its kinda funny. I applied for a position again doing same job i am doing here but its in my hometown where all my family is. I have this feeling based upon a few experiences that I won't get it. ( it will be a pleasant surprise if i do). Last time i struggled with it back and forth. This time. I feel peace. Regardless. Gods will be done!!! One thing has been eating at me here and without going into detail, it suddenly hit me. Just now actually. There is a saying in AA or maybe NA i cant remember where i heard it, but something to the effect of take what works and leave the rest. In other words, let go of what isnt working for me here and focus on the things that Do work. I am sure that the aspects that dont appeal to me appeal to others and helps others so that is the main thing. I think sometimes we think we can just fix things. Im learning its not me,,, its God and He will fix things as HE sees fit, (no matter where the issue is) not as i see fit. So, let go and let God!

There ya go goldie...you are right, we can't fix ourselves, only He can. It's definitely about surrendering and allowing Him to do that. Kinda hard giving up that control though. I can tell you that even this stubborn gal sometimes still tries to be a little obstinate every now and again, and God will say what is your problem, move over and let me drive this bus, I promise the ride will be so much smoother. :)

Also, you mentioned about taking from the study what applies to you, this my sister is correct. Not everything works for everyone. We are all different, so we have to learn to be able to adapt to things and our situations. What makes you happy, doesn't necessarily make another Chrstian brother or sister happy, but you both still have one common Happiness...Jesus.

Keep doing the steps sis. Almost done wooohooo, and it's great to see you growing.

Wow its amazing... Stone 13 Falling down... wow. I think i have fallen more than i have stood. And i remember one time where i was so angry with God and i fell away from Him for a really long time, but Praise God cuz He welcomed me back. With the help of wonderful peeps here I am learning much about getting back up and standing for my beliefs and learning more about God and His Word. And im learning even when i fall to just get back up and start over. Every day is a new day and another chance. God blesses me so much. Sometimes its just totally amazing. This is an awesome program and I can see that it will take lots of practice and capturing of thoughts but if i stick to it, it will soon become habit. GBU all

Awww Step thirteen has proven to be a challenge. Seems like i havent much time to spend in chat anymore to work this step. Im thinking since i have sorta done this in the past, then maybe i can come back to it and find out the end result cuz this is a lifetime program.. I see that fer sure. It will get easier and habit as I practice. Putting God first. But God will see me through of this I am confident.

GBU all and luvs u all

Goldie, if it is challenging place it on your goals list, and work towards achieving this goal. Some things are easier than others, and if it seems a bit overwhelming, then don't try to just jump in, take it slow and ask the Lord to help guide you towards meeting the goal. It's so great to see how you are growing from when you first began this study. The Lord is so proud of you.

luv ya sis
