Goldie I'm so glad you went back and reviewed step 6. Yes you are almost halfway through the program, but just remember when you get to the end, it's only the beginning of a lifetime journey.

I'm also glad your working on your accountability log. This is very important in keeping you on track as well as, helping you to focus on the things in your life that need attention most. Just make sure that when your ready to begin working on those changes in the areas you identify, that you ask God for His help in doing so.

Keep doing the steps sis. And ooh look you got your hippie chick. *HippiePeace* and she's doing the peace sign.

luv ya sis

Hey Goldie,

The charts are the bomb in this program! They get you into the routine of turning your thoughts and actions to Him daily so in time it becomes the new habit... the beautiful flowers take over them weeds. Like anything I found it takes practice and dedication, but isn't it sooooo worth it? *Halo*

And, I likely lil peace out chick toooooo *angelbounce*

Keep up the great work sis, remember I'm here if you need anything...

Love ya,

*Gardening* Here she is Goldie. She must of left briefly to get more water. lol

You are doing fabulous my sister, my friend.
If you ever need to talk, I'm here for you.

Some of the steps took me a few days, even on my second time through. So I guess that's normal for some. *dunno* I kept feeling like Satan was sending birds to snatch up the seeds that God was sending through the studies. Once I finally realized what was happening and took stand against him things really started sinking in, taking root and growing.

Don't forget to put on your armor and go back often to reread what you've already been through. Maybe not today, you've got enough on your plate as it is today.

You're in my prayers. Please know that you are dearly loved by me and many others here, and most importantly by the most Holy God who sees you as the apple of his eye.

Step 8. Ok i admit i read it yesterday but dint post. I sorta reread thru it today. Enemy of my mind. I like that cuz its just what that ole enemy does. I recognize I am letting go and letting God more than i used to. It is something i will need to strive daily to do. I'm in the Word more and thats cool. Im learning more every day. I think it will be like that the rest of my life or until Alzhiemer's kicks in whichever happens first. Right now I am physically sick. Been fighting a cold past few days. My thoughts are rather jumbled and have been past couple days. I get foggy when i get sick so its nothing unusual. I will just have to come back and restudy again. But the cool thing is that it is here a click away.. now thats awesome.
Ok *HippiePeace*

Luvs u all and thanks for responding. Im sure i will have many things to say later on maybe in a few days once im feeling better. GBU all

aww golderson my groovy singing sista *hug*

You are right... we never stop learning and growing in the Lord. It is a lifelong process and as long as we are on this earth we are His works in progress :) Its important to remember this, so that we arent tempted to beat up on ourselves if we stumble every now and again.

I hope you feel better really soon sis *hug* Make sure u get some rest and enough liquids and a nice big slice of chocolate cake ;)

God bless you goldie
I luvs u!

I seem to be having some issues lately with chat. I hope that I am posting in a place where i can get some good feedback. Lately I have found that alot of silliness goes on in the chats. And even in some programs other conversations are taking place that are distracting me from the message. Now i know when i first got here i played alot in the main room. But i am finding myself more and more frustrated over this. I dunno maybe its cuz im not feeling well, could be part of it. I think part of it is I am wanting to learn and sometimes other things get in the way of that. Im gonna be praying cuz I know i need patience, I need serious studies about serious issues. I wanna learn more and become the servant God wants me to be. I think i freaked two people out speaking the truth. One was closed minded and i dont think at the time anyone was able to help that person. I left after being asked to stop talking about God and turning over things to Him. The second one i dunno what i did but again i was talking about God and i was speaking what worked for me and what i believe to be Truth. No one corrected me in what i said regarding the Word so i dont think i am off base with that although i certainly have a lot to learn. This is something i have been struggling with for about a week now. Im praying about it that God will show me an answer. I feel a need to know and learn. Maybe i just need to stay in the studies for awhile im not sure. Maybe i dont have enough patience. I dunno either. I love this place and it has helped me tremendously. Right now im just confused and frustrated. I dunno anyways, i just needed to get it out and now im gonna *Pray* GBU all for listening.

goldie sis *hug*

I just wanted to explain a bit about the chatroom, especially where the Main room, the Oasis Retreat, is concerned.

As O likes to put it, this room is kinda like a hallway... where everyone hangs out together. This is the first room people see when they enter the Oasis chat. There is a policy about no debating or arguing in this room, as well as discussing mature issues, because there are members of many different ages there at any given time.

Of course, members have the ability to open their own rooms and hold their discussions there.

Conversations in the main room are usually lighter and more general than in any other room. It is where people come after a hard day at work or school, to fellowship and uplift each other and look forward to the 'How are yous?' or the *hug* 's and the fun loving spirit. It is where non believers venture in to see what Christian folks or Christian chat is all about. It is where convos go from family to food to faith to scriptures to daily walks and if im in the room... back to food again ;)

Yes it may be a lot less serious than a room with a scheduled chat program, but we are all kids at heart and it is really awesome to let the child in us play a lil bit with our Christian brothers and sisters.

We have MANY MANY serious studies and programs in the chat as well.

Check out the Chat Calender and you are sure to find something that will suit you :) From teen chats, to singles chats, to Bible studies, sharings, family chats, games and even Cool Church on Sunday nites ... Somethin for everyone :)

Chatroom Calender:
http://www.christianityoasis.com/keyword/calendar.htm

And yeah, sometimes durin the prepared programs, some folks might get a lil enthusiastic and might stray off topic now and again. Happens to all of us at some point but nothing a gentle and loving nudge back on course cant fix ;)

God bless ya golderson *hug*

Hey goldie so glad to see you have been continuing the steps and growing in the Lord. So much to take in, but it's good to see you pushing through.

Sorry to hear your not feeling well. May the God touch you with His healing hand, and may you be better soon.

I would like to address your feelings a second sis on the chatroom. Try to keep an open mind on the retreat and programs. Different things work for different people. Right now you are in the process of truly developing your relationship with the Lord, so what you need is lots of Biblical fellowship and studies which will enhance that development. But, let's take a soul for example who is in a major state of depression, and don't really know much about the Lord yet. If you throw a lot of Biblical studies on them, they are going to run for the hills, as they don't know what He is all about. If you reach out and try to just listen and cheer them up some, with a couple of bubbly silly laughs, this is going to be food for the soul. Laughter is an awesome medicine. So just remember everyone who visits the chatroom is at a different stage in their walk with God, that's why we try to have so many different programs to choose from. If you can think of a program that you think will enhance the Oasis chatroom, please share your ideas with Oasis.

goldie my sister, you are doing so great with the steps. The Lord is smiling on you. He is so excited to see you drawing nearer to Him, and He will bring blessings to you.

luv ya sis

Ty both, i think maybe i was just having a bad night. I couldnt get on the computer last night cuz of storms. So stone 9 had to wait. But i can see its a biggie. I guess my top lifestyle changes i wanna make are to quit smoking, eat healthier and exercise more. I need to treat my body as Gods house. Im sure there are many others that need changing. For now, I guess thats it. A position posted with my company in my hometown today doing same job i am doing one county away. I applied, I dunno if they will let me have it or not. They turned me down the first time. Will see what happens this time. Last time i was very hurt, but have decided that Gods will shall prevail and if God wants me there, then they will put me there and if He doesnt, then i am supposed to be here. Cuz i dont always know what things i should ask for or want cuz i cant see into the future. So, those are my thoughts for today.
