Applying What I learned

This forum is for those souls 18 years and older who are dealing with some type of addictive behavior whether it be from alcohol, drugs, overeating, fear, worry, sex, etc. Only with help and guidance from God can we ever hope to overcome these addictions. What is impossible for us to do IS POSSIBLE with God. Friends and family of those stricken with addictions are welcome to share as this problem affects more than just the soul entangled in its web.

Applying What I learned

hi
I wanted to tell you all how God has used me since I first came to Real Solutions a year ago next month.
When I first started coming to Real Solutions there was one thing that stuck in my mind and that was that God would use even my drinking for good if I allowed Him to.
I thought that I had failed God too many times to ever be used by God again.
Realtmg was an example of this. Plus others who I met here were examples of it too. I was amazed. I was over joyed at the thought of it.
But what I did not know was how.
Not one way, but several ways. And as long as I am willing to share it, He keeps using it.
But what I didn't dream possible was God provided a way for me to have my sons undivided attention every day and him opening up to me.
He opened up to me and I opened up to him. God was there in the midst of us both.
What a blessing it is when God uses us! But to be used in a family members life is truly a blessing.
Many here have prayed for my son. He is still going to NA meetings and to church with me. And the closeness we share is a joy in my life.
The bible states "with men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible." (Matt. 19:26)
Do you believe it?
Luv Ya

More Blessings!
My son was asked to come into work today. They usually are closed on the weekend.
He got talking to the head of his department. My son was honest with the boss and told him that he liked second shift except for the fact he will be missing out on some NA meetings...
The boss is giving him time off, twice a week to go to the NA meetings..
My son was honest and God blessed him for it.
For a long time I allowed pride to get in the way of my honesty. I missed out on being blessed in many circumstances.
"I will bring the blind by a way that they knew not, I will lead them in paths that they have not known. I will make darkness light before them, and the crocked things straight. These things I will do unto them, and not forsake them." (Isaiah 42:16)
No matter how crocked our lives get, God can straighten it out!
Luv Ya

Amen sis, I remember when you first started talking about your son's journey for healing, and how you had so much hope and willingness. Many times when a child strays off the path, some parents will just hand them up, and say I wash my hands of you. Instead you stood in and said, I'm gonna help. Now look at the way God is moving with you and your son. The healing that is progressing, and your faith in Him is growing too. Keep the faith sis, and keep loving your son.
