THERE ARE NO EXCUSES FOR ABUSE

Postby foreverHis » Sun Mar 02, 2008 2:58 pm

Pysical abuse is a crime, but we all know any kind of abuse is a crime,
A person is responsible for his/her behaviour.
No one deserves to be abused
everyone deserves equal respect .
no partner in a relationship has the right to dominate or abuse the other..

it only brings destruction

Amen moxxie sis

A lot of persons who are abused think that they did something to provoke it, or was a bad person, and they deserved what happened to them. Blaming themselves is what satan tries to get them to do. Many instances of abuse are against children. Was there something these kids did to cause what happened to them? No way. God gave all of us free will, and sadly that meant that there would be those who would choose to against God's will and harm others.

It is important to remember, that we are not are responsible for another person's actions.

I think also, that many worry that if they forgive their abuser that they are condoning what was done to them.

I heard something the other nite, that really made me think.

Someone said that forgiving your abuser, or someone who has wronged you, doesnt mean that you condone their actions. Instead it means that you are obedient to the Lord, and have left whatever judgement and sentence, in His hands.

GBU all and i miss u moxxie :(

Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. Romans 12:19

For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. Matthew 6:14

When we let go of vengeance and give it to the Lord, we are set free. Free to love one another and worship God with our whole heart. Free of fear, anger, hate, temptation, self-pity, pride, deceit, and anxiety.

Love one another and forgive with your whole heart. Your reward will be in Heaven.

I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me. Proverbs 8:17

Blessings,
