day 1 MCFC study
Ok, so I get to start my own journal. This is neat because I've read so many others journals on their journey through this program. Now, I've decided to do this to strengthen myself in His calling.
I guess some of my biggest trials and tribulations is #1 time. I'm a single mom and I work a lot. As much time as I do spend with the Lord daily, I crave more time to do for HIM. I know he has placed me in my job, to share HIM with others. Since being in my job, I have seen my boss converted. I carried such a burden for my boss for 4 years. He didn't want to even hear anything about Jesus when I started working there, but over time he began to hear the words the Holy Spirit shared with him through me, and is now saved and thirsty for the Word and on fire for the Lord.
That's another thing, it took 4 years for this man to hear the Word. It takes patience to witness to others, especially when they don't want to listen. You have to find ways to share with them without offending. This is where I lean on the Holy Spirit the most. I love sharing Jesus with everyone, and I can say the Holy Spirit has given me the words to share more times than I can count.
Another thing, I tried to run from my calling, yep just like Jonah. I left the Oasis for 6 months one time. I didn't feel this is where the Lord wanted me to be, but let me tell you, He didn't care how I felt, He said you belong at the Oasis, as you are gonna share me with others, and I'm truly thankful for finally putting away my pride and listening.
The Christian call is not an easy fight as the study says. It's a daily battle. But, once I put on my armor I was ready to fight, and fight on I shall.
I've enjoyed this step 1. I found this to be fun and revealing to me. Can't wait for step 2 tomorrow.

I'm encouraged to hear about your boss at work and how at first he didn't want to hear a word of Jesus... and now he is saved and on fire. And a reminder that like the Holy Spirit spoke through you.. the holy spirit will speak through me. I think I get too caught on what am I going to say to my co workers and students. Its not me... its Him. Thanks for slap across the face... I needed that

Awesome Testimony mlg,
That certainly took a lot of perserverance, but you kept on fighting and waging on ward. A good example of what hard work will do, it will produce results.
pearl that happens all to often, we sometimes try to work the gifts instead of letting them work in us, alway remember Luke 12:12 He will teach us what we need to say in that self same hour

Amen, mlg,
That is a very inspiring testimony. There have been several times that I felt like giving up witnessing to people, because for one reason or another, I felt I was way out of my league and way over my head, especially if I would be asked something I didn't have an answer to. When I read about your persevering with your boss, I could almost hear you saying 'Don't give up, sis.' Thanks for that.
