The Purchasing Power of the Blood of the Lamb, Part 2
Hello Christianity Oasis, All...
Blessings!
Heb.13 [20] Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,
[21] Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
What a wonderful message this is to us, that God works through the blood of the everlasting covenant to make us perfect in every good work to do His will, working in us that which is wellpleasing in His sight! Now some might argue that the phrase through the blood of the everlasting covenant only refers to what He did for Christ by raising Him from the dead...while others would argue that same phrase refers to God's working in us through the blood, I would argue that same phrase pertains in totality to Christ Jesus and to us because we are His Body and His Temple...and there are scriptures that witnesses to those assertions, but I will only post scriptures below that pertain to the purchasing power of the blood.
Eph.1 [17] That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
[18] The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
[19] And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to usward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
[20] Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places...
What a wonderful thing it is to be given the grace to know and understand just how great the power of God is that works within us through the Blood of the Lamb! Eph.3 [20] Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
[21] Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.
We used to sing the following song by Lewis E. Jones almost every Sunday at church as I was growing up and I've never had a great appreciation and understanding of it than I do now. Praise You Heavenly Father! Thank you so very, very much!
There is Power in the Blood
1 Would you be free from the burden of sin?
There's power in the blood, power in the blood;
Would you o'er evil a victory win?
There's wonderful power in the blood.
Chorus:
There is power, power, wonder-working power
In the blood of the Lamb.
There is power, power, wonder-working power
In the precious blood of the Lamb.
2 Would you be free from your passion and pride?
There's power in the blood, power in the blood;
Come for a cleansing to Calvary's tide;
There's wonderful power in the blood.[Chorus]
3 Would you be whiter, much whiter than snow?
There's power in the blood, power in the blood;
Sin stains are lost in its life giving flow;
There's wonderful power in the blood.[Chorus]
4 Would you do service for Jesus your King?
There's power in the blood, power in the blood;
Would you live daily His praises to sing?
There's wonderful power in the blood.[Chorus]
Blessings!

It is most certainly far better to die in faith believing, than it is to live in unbelief.
