Re: His calling...my journey to walk worthy
It's been awhile since I've posted in my journal. My journey to walk worthy continues for sure. Over the past couple of years, I've been led in many directions by God. I went through a really rough time at my job, but God brought me through it all, and I must say He has blessed me in ways I never would have imagined.
My precious daughter is now 21 and going to school to be a Registered Nurse. The courses she has been taking are not easy, but she is working very hard and even made the dean's list. God is blessing her as well.
My spiritual journey has taken me on different paths. About a year ago, I changed churches that I was going too. God led me to a new church, and I must say it has made me feel alive again. I sooo love going to church. It is a highlight of my week.
About 1 1/2 years ago, God brought my best friend from college back into my life. Can you imagine a friendship that has lasted over 20 years? You won't believe this but it was not last Christmas but the Christmas before. My friend called and stated that she had a time share near me and was coming up for Christmas and asked me to come visit. I was absolutely delighted, and I will say she and I have been catching up ever since. Again God has blessed me to have her in my life again.
So, now to share a struggle I'm going through at this time. I am suffering through an illness, and the doctor's are having a hard time finding the cause. It keeps me very tired most days, but I am not complaining. So far I have experienced one blessing from God through this illness and I'm sure there will be more. God allowed this illness to happen for a reason, and thru this I know He will receive all the glory.
I am happy. God brings me joy. God is my rock. God is my strength. God is my hope. God is love.
Til next time....

Re: His calling...my journey to walk worthy
Just some random thoughts:
It's an election year and the political brew is just terrible to be honest. I can't help but think of this Bible Verse:
2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
I know with God all things are possible, but I also know that according to Revelation the world will only continue to get worse until Jesus returns. I'm not sure this political election or anyone to come can make a difference.
Only 2 days left in the week. This year seems to be flying. It will be Christmas before I know it.
My parents have their 50th wedding anniversary coming up this month. It's so awesome to watch them in their Golden Years. I must say, I believe they love each other more every day.
Nothing much to share...really just a lot of randomness today.

Re: His calling...my journey to walk worthy
Fighting a lot of spiritual battles right now in my life. God is faithful to those who love Him, and I know that no matter what He is on His throne and in control of all things.
Too many thoughts to put down here right now....but just hanging on to Hope....God's will be done.

Re: His calling...my journey to walk worthy
Well the past 48 hours have been very overwhelming for me....last night I felt I was almost to a breaking point...but God sent two angels to my aid...my sister and my mom....today things are tolerable......with the help I received....I feel like I can at least manage....thank you Jesus
Even If
Kutless
Sometimes all we have to hold on to
Is what we know is true of who You are
So when the heartache hits like a hurricane
That could never change who You are
And we trust in who You are
Even if the healing doesn’t come
And life falls apart
And dreams are still undone
You are God You are good
Forever faithful One
Even if the healing
Even if the healing doesn’t come
Lord we know Your ways are not our ways
So we set our faith in who You are
Even though You reign high above us
You tenderly love us
We know Your heart
And we rest in who You are
You’re still the Great and Mighty One
We trust You always
You’re working all things for our good
We’ll sing your praise
You are God and we will bless You
As the Good and Faithful One
You are God and we will bless You
Even if the healing doesn’t come
Even if the healing doesn’t come

Re: His calling...my journey to walk worthy
Today has been a very heartbreaking day.
Even If...it is very fitting today....
Ecclesiastes 3
1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
2 A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
3 A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
4 A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
5 A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
6 A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;

Re: His calling...my journey to walk worthy
This week has been an extremely emotional week for me. I've cried and I've laughed. I've hugged and I've clapped.
On Wednesday morning I had to put my precious dog, Petey to sleep. If you are a pet owner, you know this is the hardest decision you will ever make for your pet. My Petey was suffering..I miss him.
On Thursday night, I went to see one of my nephews graduate from high school. I was very proud of him.
On Friday I drove 7 hours with my family...to see my sister's son at college. On Saturday morning he graduated from college with his Bachelor's degree in Graphics Design. I was once again very proud.
Today I am tired. My emotions are still a bit all over the place.
God is good and faithful to those who love him.

Re: His calling...my journey to walk worthy
So my life continues to change....in one month my daughter will be leaving home and moving into her own apartment. I am so proud of her, and I truly love the young lady she has become. One thing I've noticed more than anything is how she leans on God. She knows that He has answers to her questions, and she seeks Him when she has big decisions to make. She told me this week....mom I listen to what you tell me, even if you don't think I do, and I think about it. She said I remember once you told me that if something is God's will it will be easy....but if it's not God's will it will be hard and there will be road blocks. I'm thankful that she seeks God's will....
In one month I am also getting a new puppy. I miss my Petey...he was my constant shadow. I still have Snoopy and he loves me, but he does his own thing....Petey was a mama's boy and never left my side...or my lap most days.
I've been thinking a lot today about the friendships I've had in my life. Jesus is my constant friend. I could not live this life without Him.
God has also blessed me with a friend I have had for about 24 years. I lost touch with this friend at one time for about 5 years, but about 3 or 4 years ago now I received a phone call at Christmas time and it was my friend. She invited me to come have Christmas lunch with her family. Ever since that day, she and I have never been closer. I am so thankful for her presence in my life, as she is the one person that knows pretty much everything about me and I her. She has been there when I've been at my lowest, as well as there when I've been at my happiest. The only thing is she lives 5 hours from me, so I don't get to see her often, but I do talk to her weekly. We've raised our children together, and at one time when we were in college we lived together. Wow that was a long time ago.
I'm not the type of person to really let people close to me. I am a great listener, and I have many who share their life with me, but I'm not one to really talk about myself. I feel it's a wall I've built around myself to keep from being emotionally hurt by others. I am very private, and I trust very few....but I trust God because He is faithful and has never left me nor forsake me. He is a true friend....

Hello Mlg (((hugs)))
God bless you this day.
Wow, how time flies. Seems just yesterday that your daughter was 15. You and The Lord has raised her well. Thank You Jesus!
Wow...a new puppy! Cool!
When we share God, The Word, The Good News of Jesus and our faith in Him with others, we're sharing the very best we have to offer. Can't get any better than that. Wooooooohoooooo!
God bless and keep you, Mlg.
Love,
Mack

The anticipation of a new puppy! I wouldn't wait well.
I enjoyed hearing of your friendship. I have pictures of a dreamy Christmas lunch with laughter and lots of food flowing through my mind. It must of been lovely. Even if It may of only been sandwiches and tea friendships like that are invaluable.
God bless you mlg.

Re: His calling...my journey to walk worthy
Wow my life is so crazy busy....I keep waiting for it to slow down some...maybe it will in a couple more weeks.
Right now I have a houseful of dogs. 4 total and they are a lot of work. I am dogsitting for my brother...looking forward to his return...a week away still...
Next week Nene is moving into her first apartment, and my new puppy will be coming home. I will miss having Nene here but she is growing up and needs her own space.
God has truly been blessing me and nene...I see Him moving all around us and for that I am thankful..With God life is a lot easier.
