Understanding the Spirit of God; Spirit 2 of 7; Wisdom #3
Hello Christianity Oasis, All...
Blessings!
Here is an example of what one 10 year old boy had to cope with because his parents lacked the Spirit of Wisdom. We will call this child “Your Son or Your Daughter.”
A famous evangelist was scheduled to visit your church at the end of your child’s conversion class. He/she was 10 years old. The child had a wise and understanding Sunday School teacher. She carefully taught your child and your child’s classmates about the resurrection of Jesus and what that work of God was to mean to them. Your child loved God for doing such a great thing and knew their sin would be washed away when they were baptized, and most importantly, they understood they would be raised alive in Christ Jesus when they were raised from the water.
Of course the child did not know how that new life in Christ Jesus would change them, but being just a child, with childlike love and belief in God, the child was baptized into the resurrection life that was in Christ Jesus. Unbeknownst to anyone but your child, your child came up out of that water born again of the Spirit and knew he/she had the self-sacrificing life of Christ our Lord within.
Not long before he/she was baptized the child had a birthday. You gave him/her a gift the child esteemed above all others, and not long after he/she was baptized the Spirit of the Lord led the child through a grove of trees, across a nearby 2 lane highway, and down into a valley where a poor boy lived. Your child had his/her most prized gift in his/her pocket. It took your child no time at all to discern that the poor boy had lack, and feeling the love of Jesus for their neighbor happily gave away his/her most prized possession.
On the child’s return home you discovered what at the time was extremely disturbing . Your child had given away their very expensive birthday gift. You immediately sent your child’s older brother to retrieve the gift…leaving your child that gave away that treasured gift embarrassed, ashamed, and confused.
Oops! Your child was wise. You were foolish. As adults, we need the Spirit of Wisdom within us helping us discern how to go out and come in like Solomon. He was but a child when he became king. We need to learn from God as though we were but a child. That is what The Spirit of Wisdom desires of us.
As with Solomon, the love of God must be made strong in us…having learned about our “great, great high calling in Christ Jesus!” Then we must ask our Heavenly Dad to cause His Spirit of Wisdom to indwell us as with Solomon…for we…even as adults do not know how to come out or go in to govern our family in truth and righteousness…as God would have us do…that is, through eyes opened by His Spirit of Wisdom, for more often than not we choose the way of the world, self-serving being our way more often than not by far…repentance is the most important thing for us here…
Acts.2
[37] …Men and brethren, what shall we do?
“Oh God my Father please give me of your “Spirit of Wisdom!”
End…Spirit of Wisdom Part 3
Blessings!

It is most certainly far better to die in faith believing, than it is to live in unbelief.
