How Do I know When God Is Talking To Me?
How do I know when God is talking to me? I turn to Him for guidance about the problems in my life. How do I know to proceed or take another direction? Where do I look for signs? I want to hear His voice. I want Him to speak to me & tell me no or yes.

Re: How Do I know When God Is Talking To Me?
GOD speaks in the peace. But God doesn't do it on our time schedule. When you need to hear, get quiet some where. Read a verse or sing a spiritual song. And sit quietly for a while. Pray before you sleep.
Sometimes you will just know. Sometimes you will hear sermons, comments and so forth that give you peace and are reaffirmed several times. Sometimes you won't know. Time will tell.
But of great importance is not thinking you know when you don't. God doesn't make you feel like acting on a hunch. God doesn't give you an excited sense of urgency. And God doesn't make you do the wrong thing for the right reason.

Hi Modagems,
In agreement with dema.
Its easier to hear His still quiet voice when we put away the distractions of
the world, TV, news radio, cell phone, chores, other people...
Maybe sit in the bedroom reading the bible or do a Christian Walk Study here
at Christianity Oasis. One may often get confirmation from what others share
here in the forums, or in chat or in the shout box or in the monthly COOL News Letter.
Its been shared many times here that, "God is not the author of confusion."
And recently, "Sometimes we judge others by their actions and ourselves by our intent."
After having read the Christmas issue of the Christianity Oasis Newsletter,
I've been asking myself, "Will what I am considering glorify God?"
There are guideposts and confirmations you will encounter.
Ask God to open your eyes, open your ears so you may receive them.
God bless You,
Timothy
