Is God out there...or... in there?
Hello Christianity Oasis, All
Blessings!
Eph.1
[3] Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
Rom.14
[17] For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
Luke.17
[21] Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.
2Pet.1
[11] For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
John.14
[17] Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you
We are blessed with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places. Did you know that "you" are a "heavenly place?" Many Christians around the world have been taught that God is out there somewhere... in the earth, the world, nature, the heavens, and even along side of us. He is helping us we have been told. He is with us in our struggles. He blesses us in our chosen occupation in the world. He has given us a diversity of talents we call gifts such as that of music, education, the building trades, medicine, technical things, creative things, etc. He increases our wealth. He blesses us with good health. He hears our prayers and supplies our needs through them. He heals us when we are sick.
He blesses His body on the earth with many spiritual gifts such as tongues and prophecy, special spiritual insight, gifts of healing(s). He works wonders of faith in our midst, miraculous things, mighty things the world does not know of. Spiritual life is out there somewhere we are told...the Holy Spirit comes upon us and we receive great power...He is out there. He is around us. He comes upon us. He is close at hand. He is beside us. He is an ever present help and friend. Sometimes we feel his presence around us. We feel comforted when He is near in the Spirit...He is everywhere it seems...but always it seems, we have been taught He is out there. Even when He is upon us, it seems, He is still out there.
Yes, God is out there...since the dawn of civilization man has searched for God out there, many wondering what sort of role He has played in the order and happenings of the earth and the cosmos. That debate continues and will go on and on I suppose...why??? We have been told God is out there.
Yes, God is out there...the primary reason being man thinks that way...God has to be out there because we see the infinite perfections reflected in the glory of the cosmos. The sun, the moon, the stars, the planets...even the earth with its majestic mountains, valleys, canyons, islands, oceans, lakes, and streams...the grandeur of it all...yes God is out there, and for the majority of men, it seems, we must always think of Him in that way...you know...He is out there...but now why is that? Is it only because we have been taught He is just out there...or is there somewhat more to it than that?
There is more to it I say. Most of us do not reflect the glory of the heavens and the earth. God cannot be in us as He is in the cosmos...we are imperfect, our goings and comings lack order...we go to war with one another because we have different ways of doing things. We have differences of opinion. There is no end, it seems, to the chaos that surrounds us, and yet in some other place life is heavenly. It is all very confusing. Therefore, God must be out there somewhere because he is certainly not in man...we do not feel Him in us ordering our steps as He has ordered the cosmos...yes, we have been taught God is out there...even in Christian spiritual things, it seems, the emphasis is that God is out there...or at best, by us, with us, and maybe just a little teency-tincy bit upon some of us... from time to time...but even then...or afterward...we find ourselves back at home not feeling or seeing God's majestic dealings with us and in us as things are in the cosmos...God is still out there it seems.
But then comes the New Testament, books of writings about new and glorious things God has made available to man to recover him into the glory and order of the cosmos. We are told of a new and magnificent way God has made for us to order and to restore us back into the majestic grandeur that is in God. He offers to make us glorious even as He has made the stars of heaven so. We are told that He wants to live in us and change us from glory to glory even as He has made the heavens to change from lesser glory to ever greater and greater glory...but how can we be made so beautiful? We must invite God to live within us...that is where His work will begin in us...when He is within...His name is Jesus. He is knocking on the door of your heart right now. Won't you let Him come in? Haven't your heard??? Christ within...our hope of glory? Won't you let Him begin transforming you from glory to glory even as He Himself is so glorious, to make you glorious even as He has done in the heavens and the earth?
Blessings!

It is most certainly far better to die in faith believing, than it is to live in unbelief.
