STEPPING STONES THREE: GOD'S GRACE
Ephesians 2:8-9
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.
This morning as I wake, I give thanks to the Lord Jesus Christ, for the gift of Grace
I understand that I am undeserving of such a precious gift
I humble myself before God and understand that I am special and loved
But, no more special or loved than any other of His children
With this understanding, I also know that no matter how broken I am
In Him, through Him, and with Him...I am whole.
Glory and Praise be to God on this day and every day
Amen

Re: STEPPING STONES THREE: GOD'S GRACE
Sometimes we need to share what hurts. There are a lot of very nice things to say. And they are all very true. But sometimes the context is just wrong. Sometimes we need to treat what hurts.
If you break a bone, you go to the doctor. You don't compare it to other people's injuries and you don't feel guilty about needing help.
If you are having a hard time emotionally, you need to talk about it and feel it. And then after you have been angry and been sad you can forgive and move on. But you need the process. Saying the right things doesn't make it well.
Of course I don't know that you are emotionally hurt. Why would I?

Re: STEPPING STONES THREE: GOD'S GRACE
Thank for your words, you have definitely given me some thoughts to ponder.
I assure you my words are not empty, and that anything I write here, I feel very deeply right down to the core of my soul. I don't spill my emotions into this forum because the words "sound nice" I have only just begun the process and still have a long way to go.
I've done the yelling, screaming, blaming and crying and done more than my share of embracing anger, I'm here now to let go of the anger and bitterness and finally find some peace. I have found with this particular issue I'm dealing with, that anger begets only more anger and I'm just so done being angry, nothing good can come out of all that bitterness.
Everyone's experience is different, different hurts sometimes require different treatments; remedies will vary from one person to the next.
I know that I am in the right place and the path which led me here did not appear by accident. And, with due respect, nothing and no one of the world will ever convince me that any comfort, strength and/or peace I receive from the Word whether in this forum or any other is wrong, contextually or otherwise.
I thank you for taking time to read and respond, i truly do appreciate the advice, please know that I am doing my best to address the issues that I am facing in my life right now and sincerely hope that you will keep me in your prayers.

Re: STEPPING STONES THREE: GOD'S GRACE
Hi Lostlamb,
God bless you, my sister in Jesus. Im reminded in your posts about praising the Lord...not only in the good times, but also, and maybe even more so. Im just starting the process of cancer treatment. In the past 2 months I think Ive gone through every emotion imaginable. It took a close friend of mine to remind me that through the trials, as we praise Him, He works in our situations. I know that through praising the Lord, whether it be through song or writing, reminding myself of His promises and His love lifts my spirit and brings worship to Him....kinda like placing our worries and burdens in His hands.
Have you read "The Love Dare"? I highly recommend it to you. Ive read it several times now, even though Im not married. It can and should be applied to every relationship we have.
Your faith is strong, my sister. Keep doing what youre doing, one day at a time.
In Jesus,
love momo
