Wondering what Gods will is for you?
You may know me. I'm a simple person. I don't like big long speeches. Who pays attention through the entire thing anywho?
Not me. It's my lack, not the lack of the speaker. Well maybe. Anyhow, no big long sermon here. If that's what you think this forum should be about you could look to a different "thread." Cause this aint the one.
For those who like it short and simple and are wondering how to find Gods will I'd like to bring you an answer. Not THE answer but an answer. You may feel disappointed when you realize how simple this is. Or appears to be. You don't need to be hung or killed. Though some are called to that. And will be highly blessed for it.
Not to say those who aren't called to Martyred won't have a great reward. If you follow what God has asked here in this verse I promise you will please God and be greatly rewarded. Let me share it.
1 Thessalonians 5:16Rejoice always, 17pray continually, 18give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
There is more spoken in the bible that is clear as day about His will for you. But let's begin here.
Thoughts are appreciated. Please be respectful and considerate.
God bless you.
love you all.

Sorrow looks back, Worry looks around, But faith looks up! Live simply, love generously, care deeply, speak kindly and trust in our Creator who loves us.

1 Timothy Chapter 2
1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
8 I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.

Re: Wondering what Gods will is for you?
I'm looking for verses on God's will. This is Biblegateway's verse of the day:
Romans 13:9-10 The commandments, ‘You shall not commit adultery,’ ‘You shall not murder,’ ‘You shall not steal,’ ‘You shall not covet,’ and whatever other command there may be, are summed up in this one command: ‘Love your neighbour as yourself.’ Love does no harm to a neighbour. Therefore love is the fulfilment of the law.
God's will for us is to love Him with all out hearts ad love our neighbours as ourselves.
Matthew 22:34-40 Hearing that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, the Pharisees got together. One of them, an expert in the law, tested him with this question: ‘Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?’
Jesus replied: ‘“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.” This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: “Love your neighbour as yourself.” All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.’
1 Peter 2:17 Show proper respect to everyone, love the family of believer, fear God, honour the emperor.
I think overall God's will is for everyone to come to repentance.
2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
I'll post more as I think of them.

Maybe its as simple as showing an act of love?
As it goes in Jason Gray's song, With Every Act Of Love:
"With every act of love,
We bring the kingdom come."
