An Amazing Truth

Postby Paloma » Mon Mar 18, 2013 6:59 pm

Well,

Jesus is incredible, and anyone who has come to know our Lord and Savior on a personal level can attest to this love. The message that I want to share with everyone, my brothers and sister, is something magnificent and a truth that has helped me in so many WAYS that I can't even begin to explain. I want to say right now to anyone who feels like they need a new hope, that God's mercy can renew us. It can astound us, take us by surprise, and completely throw us off balance. God's mercy can renew our strengths, but that too is not the main message that I want to convey...it gets better! What I have learned is that when we empty ourselves before God, and just give Him EVERYTHING that bothers us, anything that might make us feel ashamed of ourselves, that God will take everything that is bad, everything, and he will fill us with a peace...a peace like no other. For those who have accepted Jesus into our hearts and into our lives, can remember the hour that we first believed, the hour that changed our lives for all of eternity. We can pinpoint the date and hour that this long journey began. We know that there will always be trials and tribulation, but we have something that the world does not: WE have the author of love, the ultimate GPS device that will, if we ask Him, lead us in all His ways. He will keep us from tripping over ourselves, and guide us through the trials that we may face. The enemy, however, tries incessantly to hurt us. I heard a testimony that was a blessing from God, and what I understand now is that we should give everything to Jesus. Everything and anything that might bring us to shame should be handed over to the One who can heal us, who can save us from ourselves. If we allow ourselves to live in guilt or in shame, the enemy will exploit this. He is like a prowling lion who is always looking for a weakness. When you turn yours eyes upon Jesus and you just hand it all over to Him, you will know a peace like no other. Being saved is only the beginning. The journey begins, and we must remember that we are children of God. We are sons and daughters of God. Don't let anything from the past, no pain, no sorrow keep you from living fully in Jesus Christ. Jesus wants to give us life more abundantly--that is what He came to give us. The enemy would like nothing more than to kill us and Jesus even said, "And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell" (Matthew 10:28), but Jesus also said "Whoever finds their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life for my sake will find it (Matthew 10:39).

In Jesus, with God in our side, we have everything we need. God wants to get closer to us. He wants to know us more and more. The enemy wants to separate us from God, and the enemy is the father of liars. Lies and more lies come from him, and when we give everything to Jesus--and I mean everything--he must get really mad because he is always looking for a weakness in us, but when we have JESUS, we have a fortress that stands between us and any accusation. Whenever an unwanted thought passes our minds, give it to Jesus. He will take it, and He will fill us with His peace and His everlasting love. God's mercy reaches us all, and in a new way throughout our lives. We can't live off the blessings of yesterday, just as God's mercy is always able to do something new in us. God wants to give us the best, and He would have us drink the fresh water, not the water from two days ago. If this makes sense to anyone, Praise God! As simple as this may sound, I can tell you that what we most need is a renewing of our minds. The only way that we can have a renewing of our minds, is by doing away with the old and leaving room for the new. Matthew 9:16-17 says, “No one sews a patch of unshrunk cloth on an old garment, for the patch will pull away from the garment, making the tear worse. Neither do people pour new wine into old wineskins. If they do, the skins will burst; the wine will run out and the wineskins will be ruined. No, they pour new wine into new wineskins, and both are preserved.”

We need room, space, in order for God to do something new in us. He wants to push us forward, to get us into a new place of intimacy with Him. What is holding us back? The most amazing truth is that God does what no man or woman, or child can ever do for us. He takes everything that ails us, and as we empty ourselves before Him, something utterly amazing happens. We find that God is able to mold us like clay and that He is able to pour life into His. He holds everything at the palm of His hands. We are sons and daughters of God, and in being such, we are able to go before Him, because of Jesus, and we are able to have a relationship with Him that will always have the potential for growth. I know that even with an eternity of me being able to be in His presence, that I will never know God completely. I will always be able to get closer to Him.

Don't be afraid to give to God what hurts you most, what bothers you, because He will surprise you with what He can do in YOUR life. I pray that this can add into someone's life, and be of help to someone who might just be in need of a little Word. God is with us, then who can be against us? Isn't that the question brother and sisters! Come and dance with me because our Savior lives. He sure did die for us, but then He did something amazing like coming back to life...and thus He lives today and He still loves us so!

God has given me a NEW peace of mind...!

God Bless,

Paloma
