Pray for my marriage

Postby amermummy » Wed Mar 13, 2013 1:05 pm

Hi, I'm new to this post. I have been with my husband for 13 years, being married for 8 months. We've been through ALOT, but have always stayed together. We each have done things to hurt one another. He has cheated and I have also. He got a child during his cheating. We've talked and and decided that we loved each other and decided to get married and start anew. The problem is I don't trust him, he doesn't trust me either. He has alot of female friends and I get very jealous if he talks to them too much. The other day I went through his phone and saw where he is texting a female say "hi babes". I got upset and confront him about it, he says it was innocent and he and her is not involved. Problem is, he did it at minutes to 12 at night when I was asleep. This has brought back so many memories of the past. I know he loves me and I love him too. Please pray for us while I pray also.

I will indeed pray for the both of you, and hopefully, you both are praying for and with each other. One thing I have learned is that when you make a stand for God, the devil gets busy. It was ironic to me that you said when you lived together without marriage you had always been able to make it through, but now that you are married [8months] things have gotten worse. If you both are sincere in your desire to make the marriage work, have faith in God and trust that He answers prayers. Faith is not called for when you see the end result of a matter; faith is called for when you don't. An older woman told me years ago when I was newly married, that the way to stay married for many years is to simply don't leave. Marriage is living, loving, forgiving, forgiving again, laughing, crying, laughing some more and top it all off with faith in the power of God. Really, if He can part a sea, I am sure He can help heal a marriage; if both parties say 'yes.'
