My messy past - Step 3

Postby =Lily= » Wed Jan 16, 2013 8:45 pm

I've just finished stepping stone 3.
Well, I can feel that I'm on the road to recovery now. I become so full of life after taking each further step. I dont want to lie, the pain still creeps in and pulls me down sometimes. But its a different kind of pain now. I've come to the point where I've accepted the fact that I've lost many things. I'm glad I'm in this program. Its just the pain in my broken heart. I understand that I'm human. My heart cannot be healed overnight. But I still have to allow God to work on me every second, every moment. Philippians chapter 4 has been helpful on this one. I'm trying to only think of the thoughts which wont block my healing. I'm trying to encourage myself in the Lord, even in my weakness.

One important lesson from today's stepping stone; My God has forgiven me all my sins. He sacrificed His only Son to pay for my sins. Jesus loves me so much that He was willing to take my place and suffer for my sake.
As a result, I wont allow the devil to judge me and condemn me. God forgave me and forgot about my sins the moment He forgave me. I promise to serve Him and do His will for the rest of my life. I will never go back to my sinful life.

Let me continue meditating on God's grace. His grace is sufficient for all of us.

God bless you all.

Lily,

I'm so glad you're being encouraged by the stepping stones study. It's amazing all the TRUTH there is in these stepping stones. What a blessing!

Prasie the Lord that you know you're forgiven! Satan tries to steal that away from us. I'm learning that the second I let go of God's hand the devil is right there to grab on. It's so important for us to stay in and meditate on His word, in His presence all day long.

I leave you with this Word...

"Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God." Eph. 6:10-18

Thank you so much for the encouragement Shan. God is so great. I've just completed stepping stone 4. I forgive everyone who has wronged me, just like our Father in heaven has forgiven me. I also ask for forgiveness from all those I've wronged. I've been set free today. Let me continue meditating on today's message. It helped me look at forgiveness in a different way. I ask God to help me and reveal to me anyone I have not forgiven so that I can forgive that person also. I understand that forgiving others sets me free too.

I feel different now after finishing stepping stone 4. I feel much more better than yesterday. I'm very strong today. I thank God for healing me. I thank God for this program. May God richly bless all His saints who allowed Him to use them inorder to set us free from our afflictions.

God bless you all.
